This heater is inside our fireplace, providing a beautiful light along with warmth. I love that the lights include flame projections along the back wall of the fireplace! The heater has several settings, including no heat, and for safety after it’s turned off, the fan blows until the heating element is cooled. I’m happily surprised by how light weight it is - I was able to put it in the fireplace as a surprise without any help! The remote control needs two AAA batteries and the heating unit does make a loud beep any time you press a button on the remote. This is a wonderful and (blessedly) ash-free alternative to a fire in our home! ... show more

Love the look of this fireplace however it does not and would not keep my space warm on its own. I have the temp on 84 and I don’t know where it gets 84 at but it’s not in the room I have it in. It cycles off and on rather quickly so I know it doesn’t get to that temp.

Proper heat and fits the area we needed it to fit in. There are different color options and flame designs to choose from. The back reflects or projects flame movement which is a cool effect on the wall.

For us, the unit didn't provide and like other purchasers, the fire sound is similar to an MRI or a hammer hitting a pipe. Too late to return. If you're looking for something to display in a corner or resemble a fire and just want the look, you'll be fine. Bonus is we may put it outside on top of our fire pit for non-burn days in the southwest and it does show flame out the back. get what you pay for ... show more

Great option for an old homes fireplace that no longer could be used. Perfect fit, looks warm and inviting, remote control is definitely a bonus for those of us that struggle to see and bend down at the same time ! Just point and click !

I couldn't figure out how the flames worked when looking at the product online, so that was a surprise. It has a projected light that shines through a spinning tube that, while not an authentic flame, my eyes are drawn to, kind of like a real fire. It does add a bit of ambience to our room (14 x 16) and heats it up nicely. The remote is handy. I haven't heard any crackling sounds as other reviews have mentioned, but didn't really care about that feature anyhow. All in all, I'm really glad I bought this little unit, and would buy it again. ... show more
