I love this product. It works well as long and its applied well. The mosquitoes still hover around but they dont land and suck. I found that if I sprayed a bunch in my hand and rubbed it on my dogs ears it even kept the deer flies away. It needed to be applied more often and applied heavier to keep them away. But it did work. The smell is strong but its pleasant. I use it for my self and my family also. This is better than any other natural mosquitoe repellent I have ever bought. Seems to work for my outside cat. He hates the smell which I dont blame him its super strong it smells nice just strong. I have to spray it on my hand as well to apply it on him he's scared of the spray nozzle. The smell takes a couple hours to go away off my hand. Which is why I took a star off the smell is just inconvenient but overall im glad its protecting him from the mosquitos there's so many in the area I live. He gets annoyed after I put it on him so after this one I might find something less strong smelling. ... show more

it keeps the bugs off the dog, but it causes them to itch constantly. I tried some and i immediately broke out in a rash and burning sensation on my arms. Looked up the ingredients and it said: concentrated versions of lemongrass, geraniol/citronella, peppermint, and clove can cause skin itching, burning, redness, and irritation in both dogs and people. We’ve been having a pretty bad mosquito problem. I was searching for something that was safe for the dogs and a friend recommended this. I was skeptical at first, but it seems to be helping. Nights when I forget to spray myself, I get bit all over and it’s so itchy. I don’t get bit when I use this spray. I also use it on my dogs because I worry about heart worm. We are dealing with a lot of mosquitos currently, so this product was a must for us. Our dog isn't crazy about us applying this every early morning and later in the day. He'll start rubbing against his bed. The smell IS strong, so what we do is spray it on a paper towel, then lightly rub each paw, a little on his tummy, top of head and across his back.
