After our microwave over the range died (second one to do this) it was time to put in a more traditional fume hood. This one met our needs perfectly. It has the obligatory brushed stainless steel finish to match the rest of our kitchen appliances. Second, and more important, it has physicals switches instead of electronic ones. THIS IS SWEET! Hot steam from the cooking pans can and will damage most electronic film-based switches, sometimes within months. Mechanical switches, on the other hand tend to work well despite the temperatures and moisture. In the event one of these switches fails I’m pretty sure I can replace the switch myself. As far as pulling air outside, it works flawlessly.

I bought this range hood in August, 2023 and the lighting fixture on the left side has burned out and needs to be replaced. However, you cannot replace just the bulb with this unit, you need to replace the entire lighting fixture. What should have been simple is now complicated. However, after working with a very cooperative customer service agent, this problem was easily remedied and the problem resolved.

Okay, as a builder for more than 30 years I've seen and personally installed numerous range hoods. This was a personal purchase as my wife is a master chef and what my baby wants my baby gets. What my baby got was this fan extracted and a different fan in in it's place rather smartly. Unfortunately we tried this one out for 3 months until she couldn't take it any longer. So ultimately one fan for the price of 2 as we could not return it. At first glance by all appearances the fan seemed as described....wrong. Every aspect of this fan screams poor quality. The finish is poor, the speed switch from low to high has very little variation in suction and noise. Noise, OMG there in lies the biggest problem. This fan has a single blower. When I first tested it before installing it the turbine spun against the gaurd screen, first indication of poor quality. Seemed loud but thought it would improve once installed. That dear comrades was not going to happen. Long story short this is a $100 fan with a poor stainless finish masquerading as a quality fan. Don't get fooled. If you desire a fan that pulls out an excess of 750 CFM while on low selection speed without having to yell through conversation buy a dual motor fan but without question look elsewhere!

Purchased this hood range because if it's power and the option to hardwire the unit. My previous range (Sakura-727) that I got 30 yrs ago was hardwired. The unit came in good condition. The only problem was the wires came out of the top of the unit instead of the back where there proper slots for the wires to connect. The instructions also indicated that the wires were to come out of the back. I had a professional install it, but we were unable to redirect the wiring to the back of the unit without seriously compromising the connections. We ended up having to cut a hole to create an outlet in the above cabinet and creating a plug. (something I was trying to avoid) Overall the Hood was a good price and looks great, but a little noisier than my previous range hood. I also prefer softer lighting than the white light. I would recommend buying as long as you're aware of the wiring situation

I knew that the noise descriptions didn't really count because I was using it in recirculating mode. Our kitchen is the middle of the house, and we have a super high roof, so putting in a vent isn't practical. But wow, it's noisy. It did take a second person for the install and it was a little hard to hold it up. But all in all as expected, with a worse than expected down side on the noise.

To rip off the bandaid, yes, it’s loud. But there are 3 settings to choose from and the first 2 are tolerable. Other than that, this vent is a steal for the price. It fit like a glove and the install couldn’t have been easier. I chose to reroute the wiring to the back of the vent vs leaving it on top to avoid cutting a hole in my cabinet. I was able to wire and mount it myself in less than 15 minutes, unboxing it took longer. Highly recommend.

Very disappointed. The range hood appears to be good quality and a good value, but unfortunately there were differences in the one I received versus the one shown in the pictures and description. The one I received could not accommodate a round duct as it showed it could in the listing. I bought it because of this feature and now I can’t use it. Furthermore in the pictures it shows two replaceable lights whereas the one I received has a fixed led light strip instead. This may actually provide more light, but it wouldn’t be as easily replaced if the light failed. Either way, it’s not the item shown in the pics and now I won’t be able to have everything installed with my new range in time for Christmas dinner as planned. Fail.

I had to return the first item that was shipped, as the box was damaged as though someone had stepped on it, and the grill was bent up on part of the hood. Amazon return was easy enough and the second item arrived undamaged. I actually hired someone to install this. I think taking out the previous microwave over the stove was probably more difficult than the install. Since I already had an outlet in the cabinet above, he elected to put a plug on the end to use the outlet. I was happy that this unit allows for venting out the back, as I already had the exterior vent through the wall. It is definitely noisy, but it actually does help to reduce the smoke in the house from my greasy cooking.
