To rip off the bandaid, yes, it’s loud. But there are 3 settings to choose from and the first 2 are tolerable. Other than that, this vent is a steal for the price. It fit like a glove and the install couldn’t have been easier. I chose to reroute the wiring to the back of the vent vs leaving it on top to avoid cutting a hole in my cabinet. I was able to wire and mount it myself in less than 15 minutes, unboxing it took longer. Highly recommend.

its quite solidly built its not the quietest but it has easy to remove slotted panels that clean up far easier than the old steel wool mesh l kind and presents a much cleaner look.priced better than a stainless at the home improvement stores .

DIY ed installation. Works as expected. But it took me some effort to DIY the hood has only holes to use screws on the top. Which is supposed to be connected to the bottom of cabinets. I doubt it is going to be strong enough to hold the hood with only four small half inch screws. Since these screws are going sustain tension force I’m a structure engineer. I know it’s going to be better to fasten on the sides because that way the screws are going to carry shear load Also my cabinet was modified in order to install the previous zyrpher typhoon hood I don’t have a bottom of cabinet to fasten the screws. I had to drill holes on the side and use bolts and nuts to hook it up on the sides Not sure if the regular drill bits will work to drill holes on stainless steel. Bought the cobalt bit But fortunately the stainless steel is not too thick. We were able to drill holes using regular drill bits In conclusion Installation is not so easy but works fine it was hooked up

Okay, as a builder for more than 30 years I've seen and personally installed numerous range hoods. This was a personal purchase as my wife is a master chef and what my baby wants my baby gets. What my baby got was this fan extracted and a different fan in in it's place rather smartly. Unfortunately we tried this one out for 3 months until she couldn't take it any longer. So ultimately one fan for the price of 2 as we could not return it. At first glance by all appearances the fan seemed as described....wrong. Every aspect of this fan screams poor quality. The finish is poor, the speed switch from low to high has very little variation in suction and noise. Noise, OMG there in lies the biggest problem. This fan has a single blower. When I first tested it before installing it the turbine spun against the gaurd screen, first indication of poor quality. Seemed loud but thought it would improve once installed. That dear comrades was not going to happen. Long story short this is a $100 fan with a poor stainless finish masquerading as a quality fan. Don't get fooled. If you desire a fan that pulls out an excess of 750 CFM while on low selection speed without having to yell through conversation buy a dual motor fan but without question look elsewhere!

I knew that the noise descriptions didn't really count because I was using it in recirculating mode. Our kitchen is the middle of the house, and we have a super high roof, so putting in a vent isn't practical. But wow, it's noisy. It did take a second person for the install and it was a little hard to hold it up. But all in all as expected, with a worse than expected down side on the noise.

I was rather apprehensive about purchasing this item because I had never heard of this company and the specs of this unit far surpassed anything I could find in this price range.] Delivery was prompt. Quite impressive was that Vesta contacted me to make sure the item arrived on time and in good condition. The item seems to be well constructed. I installed it using the through the wall option. It exhausts very well. The high setting produced enough air to nearly blow my hat off when checking the ventilation. It is rather loud on the high setting. The low and medium settings are not at all bad. The lights are bright with great coverage.

Very disappointed. The range hood appears to be good quality and a good value, but unfortunately there were differences in the one I received versus the one shown in the pictures and description. The one I received could not accommodate a round duct as it showed it could in the listing. I bought it because of this feature and now I can’t use it. Furthermore in the pictures it shows two replaceable lights whereas the one I received has a fixed led light strip instead. This may actually provide more light, but it wouldn’t be as easily replaced if the light failed. Either way, it’s not the item shown in the pics and now I won’t be able to have everything installed with my new range in time for Christmas dinner as planned. Fail.

I am in love with my extractor, the quality with which it is made is impressive for so little money, I live in the Dominican Republic and I have looked in all the physical stores for a recirculation extractor that has the characteristics of this one and they do not appear, it has been worth it !!
