I bought these Version 3.09 sublimation ink cartridges as a replacement for my Sawgrass SG500, mainly looking for a more affordable option. I was relieved that the printer recognized them immediately with no errors or warnings. Installation was simple, and I didn’t have to mess with firmware or resets. Printing quality has been good so far. My prints came out clean with no grid lines or banding, which was my biggest concern. Colors look solid and consistent for my projects, especially once pressed. For everyday sublimation work, they perform well and haven’t given me any issues yet. I like that these cartridges claim compatibility with all firmware versions, which gives some peace of mind since Sawgrass updates can be picky. Ink flow has been smooth, and I haven’t noticed clogging or uneven output. That said, they’re not perfect. Like others have mentioned, the color accuracy isn’t always 100% identical to OEM Sawgrass ink, especially if you’re doing color-critical work. I've ordered quite a few off-brand replacement cartridges for my SG500 Sawgrass Printer and this set competes with the best of them. I run the 3.09 software version and had no problems with installation. This is kind of mid-tier as far as pricing (I've seen cheaper) but the colors are vibrant and my test print didn't leave any streaking. Obviously, it's a much cheaper alternative to Sawgrass. Overall, I was really happy with this. If you're looking for a solid, no-fuss alternative to name brand ink this is the way to go. 5 stars!

Picked this up as I wanted to make alot of family Valentines gifts but I dont have alot of money and ink prices are insane. I was gifted a Sawgrass last year and while I love being able to use it I basically clutch my pearls in hopes it prints well every time since it uses inks so much. That being said using the refills cost more than it will putting my child through college on scholarship. So I opted to try these and hope they didnt brick my machine as I have read horror stories about bad chips and prints with bars and lines scrawled across prints to sabotage your work. These are amazing. The printer took to the cartridge quick and loaded just like the real thing and no issues so far even after the past couple updates.

I wanted to share this review based on firsthand experience with recent changes affecting this printer brand. My sister and cousin both own this printer and handle most of the sublimation printing for our family, so I’ve seen the results directly. In late 2025, the manufacturer released a firmware update that essentially rendered their printers unusable unless the company’s branded ink cartridges were installed. These branded cartridges cost at least four times more than comparable third-party options. When third-party ink was installed, the printer displayed a message recognizing the ink and would technically print, but a black marking appeared across the page, making the output unusable. As soon as the branded cartridge was inserted, the printer printed normally again. To be clear, there is nothing wrong with the quality of most third party ink itself. However, buyers should be aware of what to expect due to the manufacturer’s restrictions. At the time of our updates (Nov/Dec 2025), no workaround or solution was offered by the brand. I’m not sure if that has changed since then, but it’s definitely something worth confirming before purchasing. Because of this experience, we are hesitant to fully test or rely on this product, despite the ink quality being fine.

These sublimation printer ink cartridges work as intended and installed easily in a SG1000 printer with no errors. Print quality is solid, garments come out with bright colors and clean text, no change from other similar cartridges we have used. From my experience, the color accuracy is good and suitable for everyday small businesses printing needs. The only downside for me is that the cartridges were not individually sealed, which I personally prefer for long term storage and freshness assurance. That said, they functioned properly right out of the box with no leaks or issues. Overall, this is a reliable dupe ink cartridge set for sublimation that delivers good performance and value for regular use printing tasks.
