I’m really pleased with this Vera Bradley tote bag. It arrived on time and was packaged carefully, which I appreciated. The fabric feels sturdy but soft, and the stitching is neat and well done. The size is just right—not too bulky, but roomy enough to hold everything I carry day to day. The interior pockets are a nice touch and help keep things organized without having to dig around. I also like that the straps are comfortable on my shoulder, even when the bag is full. The pattern is just as lovely in person as it looked online. Overall, it’s a great everyday bag that feels both dependable and thoughtfully made. I’ve been using it regularly and have no complaints.

This is the deluxe version of the original Iconic Tote, with six interior slip-pockets, and it's as wonderful as ever. For anyone unaware, the company had a big rebranding and changeup nearly two years ago, with a slow rollout of new styles and a slow cancellation of old styles. The new totes have one laptop-sleeve-pocket and two sad little slip-pockets on the interior of the bag. Where the Iconic Tote was their workbag and teacher-bag and volunteering-bag and everything-else-bag, even working as a diaper bag when used with little waterproof-pouches, the new version is just a cheap large-size tote-bag that doesn't function for the purposes most of us bought this for, over so many years. But this style here is the original style with all SIX interior slip-pockets. Beyond the inclusion of those remarkably utilitarian full-length pocket-sleeves, where each is divided into three individual slip-pockets that, when added all together, truly run the full length of the interior side that they cover, this also includes pockets on the outside, and they're roomy. This has the standard Vera key-slot, with the little key-pocket that's hidden along the center of the top-edge for easy access (and I use it for receipts to try to keep the purse clutter-free and make it easy to put them where they need to go for tax-time down the line, but it is actually deep enough for a little keyring with a small fob), and then it also has the outer zip-pocket that many of us actually use for our keys or for kleenex. What's clear about the design of this original version of the Iconic Tote, even without the deluxe-addition of those additional outside-pockets, is that it's made for someone to use without an additional purse-organizer. And, while I love my Vercord zipper-organizer with all of its little slip-pockets, it's nowhere near the size (even their largest) of the interior slip-pockets you find on this, as to capacity and depth and ability to carry what you need. I can fit a large water bottle into the smaller-width interior slip-pockets on either end, I can fit protein bars and a ziploc of tea-bags and stevia-packets into one of those pockets, I can fit a shirt into one pocket and then socks and underwear and undergarments into another, I can fit everything I could possibly need for a weekend away or a day-trip but then also everything I could need for a visit to a relative's house where they just don't have healthy drink options (beyond water) or healthy snack options (beyond not snacking at all). That's just not something that a Vercord organizer (despite being the best-in-show at this point) can achieve. But the original Iconic Tote by Vera Bradley, which is being phased out such that we have far fewer designs available that actually came out last year, is still the best in the world, and then this "Deluxe" version has even more pockets, which makes it a Godsend. I still rate the original Iconic Tote as Five-Stars, and I give the Deluxe Iconic Tote the same rating, for being the absolute best large-bag with built-in-organization on the market today. I hope they return to making fifteen to twenty new patterns every year for this bag, like they used to do, before their bizarre rebranding, when they started making bags in all of our favorite Granny-style patterns that are designed for teenagers who don't have kids or anything much to organize beyond a laptop/tablet with phone and then keys. The new version is terrible, but the Iconic and Deluxe Iconic are still PERFECT.

Have not had a Vera purse in probably 10 years. But I remembered how much I loved them for the colors and the pockets!! I love a purse that has a lot of pockets for organization/storage. Well this tote did not disappoint. The colors are even better in person, I took a picture to show. It is grays and blacks and white but then a pop of color with purple. Stunning!! Inside has 6 different pockets! Others have said that their purse would not stand up properly but I am not experiencing that at all. It stands perfectly without spilling over. I love that it also has a zip top so nothing ever falls out if the whole purse falls over. Then there is a almost hidden pocket at the top (unzipped/unsnapped) that you can slide your cell phone or keys in for easy access. And in the front is another zippered pocket and a second almost hidden unzippered pocket that fits a bottle of water perfectly. All in all, this may be my favorite Vera purse (it is the Tote). It is huge and fits everything I need, and still has room for more. I am delighted with this purchase. My daughters love it and are now wanting one. Definitely recommend it.

This is a good size to pack 2-3 days of clothing for a casual weekend trip. Can be used as an office commute bag or car travel bag. Lots of interior pockets. A couple of minor bugaboos. I wish the pockets were mounted higher on the interior walls and not next to the bag floor. Zippers on a couple of inside pockets would be nice. There is a “secret” exterior pocket that opens at the top rim. ( Nice surprise - cell phone pocket, plus extras.). I don’t understand the main zipper. There are gaps between the zipper and bag at both ends. There must be a reason for the small gaps - sewing technical issue? Amazon prices on these bags are like watching the stock market. High price one day, low the next. Decide how much you are willing to spend on this bag and keep watching the price swings. Water Alert! This cotton fabric bag will absorb water like a sponge. I set the bag down near a hotel A/C window unit. I did not know there was a severe storm the previous day. I managed to set my bag on the one small wet spot in the entire room. Shortly after, my spouse noticed the carpet was wet and the bottom of my bag was soaked. So, do not use this near a swimming pool, bathroom, or in the rain. Do not set on floor near hotel A/C units. Overall - practical, lovely bag.

Every seam is exquisitely well sewn and no loose strings anywhere! Also, the zipper is outstandingly sturdy - not likely to tear or run off track. These qualities in themselves are miracles in our post COVID pandemic days, considering that quality no longer seems to be a priority. The colors are gorgeous AND the bag SMELLS really nice! So often, due to the chemicals used in production, many fabrics smell dreadful. Not this bag! The scent is mildly rose-like. It is delightful. The bag is rather large - I was a bit surprised - but it’s not really a drawback. I do love all the myriad pockets on the inside and out. It’s a bit pricey perhaps - kind of a splurge for me - but I don’t regret buying it at all. I do recommend this bag! Enjoy!
