It’s great for people who are new to cubing or for those who want a quicker, more portable version of the classic. Pros: The 2x2 size makes it easy to carry around and solve on the go. It’s small enough to fit in your pocket but still challenging enough to keep you entertained. The cube has a smooth turning mechanism, which makes it easy to rotate the sides without much resistance. This is especially important when you’re learning algorithms and need to move quickly. Since it only has four squares on each side, the Rubik's Mini is easier to learn than the standard 3x3 cube, but it still provides a decent challenge that can help beginners understand the basics of solving larger cubes. Cons: For those who enjoy the complexity of larger cubes, the 2x2 might feel a bit too simple after mastering it. Fun to add to my collection, and great practice if you are a beginner. Probably wouldn't recommend if you're a pro Rubix cube solver, unless you like to add new Rubix puzzles to your collection.

Like most Rubik products, the puzzle is well made. Movement is smooth and easy. As for what it does, that's where I wish I could give two different ratings. As a puzzle to be solved, I would give this 2 stars. No matter how much you twist, turn, and mess it up, it can be solved in seconds. It took no more than 20 seconds, without rushing or trying for a fast time, to go from any of the attached pics to solved. Even for beginners, this is too easy to be called a puzzle. If you want a beginner cube, get the 2x2. However, I also happen to be a fan of fidget toys. As a fidget toy I give this 5 stars. The fact that this "flat" Rubik's cube can make odd 3D shapes (see attached pics) makes it a lot of fun to mess with. This item is definitely worth the price if you like fidget toys. Not so much if you're looking for a puzzle to be solved. ... show more
