I purchased this jacket the first week of January and have to say it is probably one of the best things I've ever bought. It's very comfortable, light weight, & of course it's warm. Depending on how much it's used, the battery will hold a charge for most of the day but charges pretty quickly. It also turned out to be a really good conversation starter with random people as most are curious about the ring light on the front... so if you're into having random conversations with strangers about your jacket then definitely consider this! A few days after receiving my order, I got an email from Venustas customer service checking-in to make sure I was happy with the jacket & answer any questions, which I think shows a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Around mid-February the jacket started shutting off during the 5 minute preheat cycle. Even with the jacket off it's still very warm, so I thought the temperature ring light was broken but definitely on. I sent an email to Venustas customer service Friday afternoon & got a reply the next morning. They worked quickly to resolve my issue, sending a new battery. Ultimately they had to replace the jacket. The time it took to for a final resolution was pretty quick. Each email I sent to them received a reply within 24 hours, which is absolutely acceptable. Dealing with such a responsive company that stands behind its product has been very refreshing! The only "negative" feedback I can think to share is that the sleeves could be just a little bit longer, maybe half an inch? When the battery pack is in the inside pocket it feels a little "bulky" & makes the left outside pocket a bit tight, it's not obnoxious or even a negative really. If the battery sat just a bit higher on the torso that would help. I do wish there were more products available for men in XS sizes, & would love to see some Gray color options. Because of the good quality and more importantly awesome customer service, I have & will continue to recommend this jacket & will absolutely be buying from them again! The fit is fabulous and it’s a beautiful coat!! I ordered 3 they’re so great!! I haven’t tried the heat function but the battery is slim and the materials are warm. The hood is fashion over function since there’s no way to keep it up in wind, but the coat is just sooo great and the pockets are soft.

    • Excellent customer service to resolve the wrong battery. Nice jacket
Bought this jacket for a very windy and cold hiking trip. The battery that came with the jacket didn't work. The jacket wouldn't even turn on. Contacted the seller, whom was extremely responsive. After emailing a picture of the battery, the seller said it was the wrong battery, and that she would mail the correct battery. However, the battery would arrive after my trip. So the seller proposed I purchase the correct battery with the fastest shipping option, and she would refund me the cost after I receive it. The correct battery had Prime delivery as the only option. Luckily it arrived the day before my trip. It worked perfectly with the jacket and held the charge. The seller refunded me the battery cost right away. Although it was not fun finding out the battery that came with the jacket was incorrect after charging it for 6 hours, testing it with the jacket, finding out how to contact the seller, etc. The excellent customer service from the seller making things right was impressive. I highly recommend this seller. Just be aware if you are buying this jacket for immediate use, you may receive an incorrect battery. If that happens, the seller will make sure you're taken care of. The jacket itself is machine washable in a mesh bag, hang dry (will drip), has 2 outside zipper pockets (love), 1 inside pocket for the battery, and another inside pocket with velcro closure (love). It's warm, light weight, and a vibrant orange red (think a ripe tomato). The hood is attached by zipper and can be removed. It's my 1st heated jacket and I love it! Not only great for hiking, it's very handy walking the dog in winter nights. I see myself wearing for as long as it works. Definitely recommended. ... show more

The jacket is great quailty. It is waterproof and the wearbility is light wegiht yet very warm and comfortable, The battery life on this product met expectations. I like the pockets and the overall size of the jacket. It is not too bulky and is an overall good fit. Great purchase.

Does just what it says - warms up quickly and stays warm. Perfect for being outside in the absolutely frigid temperatures hitting our area this winter. The high setting can be felt even through multiple thinner layers underneath. Heated pockets on this version is a great touch. My only caveat is that the cut is very "straight" so, women, be sure to buy for your HIP size since the length hits mid-hip and if you have any curves at all you may find you can't start the zipper. ... show more

Although the jacket heats up nice, the hood doesn’t have anything to pull it tight around your face. So it blows off your head. Now I forced to wear a hat instead of using the hood.
