UPDATE Feb 21 2023 So I was able to chat with Amazon cuz it clearly says AMAZON gives you 90 guarantee for this item. And they are allowing return. There is a connection issue either internal to the male side or internal to the wire side. This is the wire connecting to the battery. But clearly won't successfully stay on. I didnt see others having this issue, I don't think, so maybe I was just unlucky with this one. I will try again. The coat is warm on its own, but I do want the heating feature. It was nice. :) UPDATE Feb 18 2023 I received this item on Jan 11, but didn't wear it until a day or two later. Well as of a few days ago, the heating is malfunctioning. Whenever I move or sit with the coat on the indicator lights flash blue, white, red and then it shuts off. This is just after a months use. Poor design in my opinion. I had tried plugging in the battery pack and putting the unit in with the connected end down so the connection wasn't being wiggled around and bent. Attempted to contact Amazon about the issue and am told Nope, outside the return window so now it appears I have a 150 piece of junk coat. VERY DISSAPOINTING. I was really hoping this was going to last at least a few years. When it did work, it was nice to be warm. But now......do not recommend. It would be nice if the company would reach out and try to make this right. This was a gift from my husband. He ordered me a large, but we decided, I should get the Xl so I have extra room for layering. I'm 5'2" and about 175#s. The sleeves are a good length and the body length of the coats goes to the top of my thighs, so my bottom is covered. I like that. The shoulder is a little bit big, but not a big deal. I could wear a base layer and a polar fleece under it if I wanted and still be very comfortable with no constriction. I love the high collar and the fiber fill is nice and fluffy, warm, without being over the top puffy. We live in far far northern Vermont and have 4 dogs that we walk daily, no matter the weather, in addition to going to work, events etc. , this coat will get lots of use. I've had this coat a few days now and have used the battery about 4 hours, without charging, and it finally died. I love this coat and am sorry I didn't discover it myself sooner! Last February I layered up with my name brand down coat and a insulated poncho over it to keep warm. I think I'll be in much better shape for the cold weather this year. The battery takes a few hours to charge, so thinking ahead and charging over night is a good idea. I like the fabric lined pockets that are warm and soft on their own, but also fact that the pockets are also warmed by the heating elements. The only things I'd add to this coat to make is PERFECT would be, another pocket, either inside or on the breast. I do love the warm lining in the included pockets, but I'd just like another spot to hold my phone, keys, lip balm etc. It would be great if it had a double zipper, so you could open the bottom while seated. Lastly, the hood has no way to tighten around your head/face. So thats kinda weird. I suppose I'll have to wear a beanie under when I am out in windy weather, which I fully expect to be. All in all, for the price and quality, I'm very happy. This will be my go to coat for the next 2 1/2 months, so, I'll update if there is anything else to add. Def seems worth it so far.

I purchased this product with certain sense of uncertainty given some negative comments but found that the product was great. I do astrophotography, so I spend at least one night every other week outside in the cold weather for several hours (at maybe 4-8°C/39-46°F), and this jacket keeps me warm enough. This item was the solution for dealing with low temperatures, stay outside warm, and avoid being sick (yes, I cannot tolerate cold weather as good as other people). I wish the battery would last longer. This specific model has several heaters (4+2 at least), and I'm afraid the provided 7V battery won't last more than 3.5-4 hours if used constantly at max temperature. It maybe lasts up to 5 hours if used with the lower settings, or combining low and high temps. However, there is a solution for that and I plan to purchase another battery pack, so I could be warm for a longer period of time. The product is good quality overall. This maybe has less of the nice "features" that Columbia or other brands (or heavier jackets) might provide (e.g. more pockets). I feel it needs an elastic band or cord for fitting it better to your waist or hips, and also for your head (in the hood). I love the interior though, and zippers are made of very good quality. Bonus: your hands stay warm if kept in your pockets for this model of jacket. Of course, I don't think this is made for withstanding rain, and I won't use the battery under those conditions, but has perfectly met my own needs. Bonus experience: I used this jacket at maybe 0°C/32°F or less once and while I still could feel the "very cold temperature" outside, the experience was not very uncomfortable. On the contrary, I was surprised when my friends and other people (with unheated apparel) were slowly retiring themselves and seeking for warmer areas, or going inside, while I was maybe the last man standing and not desperately seeking for a hot beverage. I also noticed, when the battery gets depleted, I really start feel the difference of heated vs. unheated and I literally start feeling shivers.

Dad has gotten super into astrophotography, and the best nights to shoot are clear and cold. I got him this jacket to keep him comfy while he's getting set up and monitoring his scope. It fits great, but he did comment that the zipper was "on the wrong side", oops haha. The battery held a good charge while running on high. We were out for several hours. We tried to use the low or medium setting at first but the light from the buttons was a little too bright once we had our night-vision acclimated, so the high setting (red light) was the most comfortable to have in our peripheral vision. I'm not sure what I'd suggest to cover the buttons so the other settings could be used without the light being bothersome. Gaffer's tape would surely conceal it, but I think one would want to be able to have a temporary/removable cover so the settings could be checked. Maybe sewing a little flap over it with a button or velcro to secure it would be a good long-term solution. Otherwise, the coat kept Dad very toasty and was comfortable to wear. We're pleased!
