  • Powerful, Sleek, and a Hidden Gem 9/10 with No Reviews!?
Size: 16GB RAM|1TB SSD|Win10H Style: 3090
I purchased this PC on January 10th. I had just sold off an HP Omen gaming laptop because I had shifted from console gaming to PC gaming. I realized that my laptop was not going to cut it, considering it was being connected to an AOC CU34G2X 34" Curved 144hz monitor. That said, I decided to take the plunge and drop some big-boy dollars into a PC with specs that should future-proof me for a bit. The version I opted in for was the "Velztorm Prizma 12th Gen CTO Gaming Desktop (Intel Alder Lake i9-12900K 16-Core, GeForce RTX 3090 24GB, 16GB DDR5 4800MHz RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD, 240mm AIO, WiFi 6, BT 5.2, Win 10 Home)". I'm not THAT big of a PC nerd, so most of this stuff is a little bit too high-level for me. After careful consideration of other PCs on Amazon with similar specs - I knew I wanted an RTX3090, an i9, and liquid cooling - this was the one that seemed to give me the best bang for the buck. While some of you will likely read this and say "tHiS pc WoULd haVE beEn A LoT CheAper iF yOu bUilT iT", you're right. But people buy pre-built PCs because of the convenience and not having to tinker with parts and potentially break something. When I stumbled upon this item on Amazon, I was surprised at how beautiful it is. I live in an upscale, contemporary-style condo and I have a white/black theme going. This was one of the few PCs that I could find with my preferred specs and the color scheme I wanted. The shipping was quick and the only "lame part" was on UPS because of how they handle signing for packages in apartment complexes. Ultimately, I had to pay $7 to have them hold it at their distribution warehouse and pick it up from there because they wouldn't deliver after 5:00 pm when I'm off work. Here's where I need a little help from Velztorm if they end up reading this (I'll likely email their customer support regardless). There wasn't a whole lot of information on what parts were used for this PC... For example, the prebuilt PC I received has parts from various different companies (which is fine) but odd that it wasn't listed on the product page. Not sure if that means every computer with these specs could potentially get different branded components but for someone like me who isn't a brand snob, it works. The PC did not include very much documentation about how to perform upgrades - like more RAM or additional SSDs. The user guides included weren't really that helpful since the guides are specific to the part and not the computer as a whole. Ultimately, I went with the 16GB RAM and the 1TB SSD unsure if the games I have would run well or not. They do run perfectly with no issues - Ultra Settings on all AAA titles - but the 1TB drive filled up pretty quickly. I got around this by connecting a 2TB SSD to the USB-C port on the back and have installed all of my games there. I have experienced ZERO lag by doing so. I'm hoping to install another SSD drive into the motherboard and add another 16GB of RAM to see if I can squeeze out any additional power to the system, but for now, it works flawlessly. I played a game of Russian roulette on this because at the time of purchase, and at the time of this review, there are no reviews and I couldn't find many reviews online on this company. Well so far (it's still too early to tell) the PC is perfect and I have zero complaints about the quality of the build. I'll edit my review every once in awhile to let future buyers know if there's anything to look out for. ... show more
