I honestly think this bed is cute but the specific reasoning as to why I bought it was because the picture shows a metal black bar in the middle, under the wood panels which would make the bed more sturdy. I know that this bed says "no box spring needed" but without that metal bar holding everything together, I don't know that this bed would even last long. I am very upset that the picture showed an important detail that did NOT come with the bed. Update: I reached out to the seller and they did apologize for not updating their product pictures and they have now removed them. They were really nice about it and did give me a small refund for the inconvenience. ... show more

    • Perfect solution

This is a great daybed. It went together easily and functions exactly how it should. I marked it four-stars because there are a couple of things that could be improved. 1) the drawers have no tracks, so they just roll around everywhere. Maybe this was apparent by the photos, but I didn’t realize it until putting it together. Also the little plastic ‘stoppers’ that are meant to keep them from rolling back too far do absolutely nothing. This is more of an annoyance than a true issue with the bed. 2) where you rest your back is only 12” from top to bottom. Despite using a 12” mattress, the pillows slide down into the gap, making it uncomfortable until you pull the pillows back into place. If I was using a thinner mattress, my kid could just slide right through with no resistance. As it is, he can fit through but has to make it happen. He’s seven, for reference. For comfort issues, I think they should really make the piece along the back have a taller measurement, but it’s a safety issue if young kids are going to be sleeping on it. As it is, it will work for our needs and I’m overall happy with the purchase. ... show more
