  • Fun bike, poor rear wheel build
Color: Green Style: Standard
I have been using my bike for about 16 months now. Overall, really fun, I use pedal assist 1 or 2 mostly (out of 5 settings) which allows me to cruise at about 16-18 mph while pedaling normally. This will give me 40 ish miles of range on a full charge. Allows me to ride faster and farther, which is nice on busy roads. The only major downside has been all the loose and broken spokes on the rear wheel which has relegated my bike to being a 70 pound paper weight recently. Trying to order new spokes to fix, but am waiting to see if the ones I ordered on Amazon are the right size. Looked into getting the replacement spokes from the dealer but they wanted about $10 per spoke versus approx. 30 cents a spoke seen on most other sellers. Trying to get any replacement parts from the seller is a total cash grab with things like spokes, racks, fenders etc. costing between 3x - 30x the cost of similar parts on Amazon if you just do some research. I really enjoy the bike, but have been turned off by the poor rear wheel build and the exorbitant cost to get replacement parts. ... show more

  • good value for the low price
Color: Sliver Style: Standard
very well packaged /boxed . easy to assemble. very well made frame ,very comfortable .just went over first 100 miles using as a commuter to work . has amazing power in all modes. only problem i have had is that rear brake "pulsed" roughly when applied. i found the rotor thickness varied from about 1.8 millimeter to about 2.18 millimeters . i purchased a shimano 180, 6 bolt rotor and that was perfect fit and cured problem .also be aware that some components like the fork and calipers are unbranded as with many of these bikes in this price range, one has to hope that repair and maintenance parts will be available in the future.but over all for the price i think this is an excellent lower cost bike that is very well made and a pleasure to ride.the larger diameter 27.5 wheels with the quality tires absorb terrain smoothly and secure feeling .handle bar layout is great with the wide handle bars simple but effective computer screen .the walk mode is a real plus in tough terrain . the throttle mode is very quick to 20 mph and the 5 level pedal assist quickly to 28mph . ... show more

  • Nice for the price
Color: Green Style: Standard
With gas prices going up I got this to save some money and get a nice workout. For the price this is not a bad ebike, but it does have its quirks. For reference my commute is 14 miles each way to work, so 28 miles a day, each way takes about 50 minutes using pedal assist. My vehicle gets 13 mpg so basically every day I ride I save roughly 10 bucks. Assembly was kind of weird, the instructions are not the greatest. I'm fairly mechanically inclined but not very knowledgeable about bicycles, the main issue I had was mounting the front tire. The instructions were vague and the video was only on a different axle type than what I had so I was very unsure of the front tires security. A few bolts were also very worn, very difficult to screw and unscrew. And then there was nothing about removing a piece of plastic from the front brake pads. Beyond some of those issues Assembly is pretty easy. 0-100 Miles: Break in period, nothing too crazy except the terrible squeaky brakes, I can't stress just how grating these brakes are and they do not stop, I'm almost at 1000 miles and they still squeal like pigs. Derailer needed a lot of adjustment, brakes needed a lot of adjusting. The seat that comes with this bike might as well be a rock, you lose feeling in less than 15 minutes. Get a new seat, save your butt the trouble. 100-300: I saw it mentioned in other reviews, the rear spokes. The spokes loosen up like no one's business and it wasn't something I really caught until close to 300, and I had to fight it for the next few hundred miles. Had the front brake pad loosen up, the rear caliper bolts were loose, just more loose stuff kinda all around, easy to find and fix though. 300-present: After getting the spokes dialed in, all the loose stuff tightened up, the shifter adjusted well and the brakes adjusted so they're not constantly rubbing this bike is good, the tires are the real MVP's, no issues with the rubber. Keeping it around 2 on pedal assist I only charge it once a day just to make sure I don't run out. This is a hefty bike and not using the motor for extended time sucks. This thing seems to derail a lot, slow down over the bigger bumps and it helps but at least once a week I'm putting the chain back on. As long as you keep the pedal assist 3 or below you'll get the range you need, if I keep it at 1 I feel confident I could go over 50 miles with a full charge. 2 doesn't feel much different but it does help just a teeny bit. 3 is where the real difference starts, on 3 you can easily get up to 7th gear and do 27-28mph on flat ground. 4 and 5 I don't really use but they put the power down and you barely have to work. Haven't had any issues charging the bike, because I don't drain it too far it's always charged back to full in 3-4 hours and there's a small flap you open so you don't have to remove the battery. TLDR: Not a bad ebike for the price if you're not afraid to tinker a little bit and keep up with it. ... show more
