1. Packaging. The bike was packed snug with contoured foam form-fitted to the product. 2. Assembly. Not only were the instructions simple and easy to follow, but the bike came with all of the tools I needed, so I didn't need to tear my garage apart looking for the right hex key or socket wrench. 3. Aesthetic. The bike is beautiful. I couldn't get off my street without three separate neighbors flagging me down to appraise my new ride, and one neighbor lamented purchasing his e-bike from a different manufacturer after seeing this Velowave. 4. Performance. Smooth as butter. I've always been a traditional bicyclist, but my wife convinced me to give this e-bike a chance, and I don't know if I'll ever go back. The pedal assist is such a cool feature. It's so much easier to pick up groceries on my bike knowing that I can use the throttle to get up the hills on my route home, whereas those hills might deter me on a regular, mechanical street bike. It's a nice safety net knowing that I can be lazy on the way home. I don't use the throttle too much, mind you, so I get a lot of mileage out of a charge, and the (removeable) battery is super easy to recharge. I do use the throttle quite a bit at stop signs and traffic lights though, and it's nice to get up to a decent speed quickly and not upset the traffic around me. 5. Quality. I'm amazed at how much power this bike has. I'm a pretty big guy at 6'1" and 195 pounds, but this little motor goes zero to full throttle (about 20 mph) in no time. Everything about the bike is sturdy. It feels sturdy. It has thick tires, which make it ridiculously stable. The kickstand is a beast. It's got a hydraulic braking system. It's got hydraulic suspension. All-in-all, it's a smooth, smooth ride, and it's about as much fun as you'll have on the road without buying a full-on motorcycle. I don't usually write reviews, but this bike is so good! First off, this thing's pretty sleek and well put together. The paint job on this is incredible. I've ridden quite a few bikes in my time and this was super comfortable and fast. And the step-thru feature is a nice. It does make it easy to get in and out of you know! Overall this is simply a great bike. Solid battery life, smooth gear changes, it's just a pleasure to ride. I'd totally recommend this E-bike if you're in the market for one! ... show more

This is my second e-bike and one of many that I've ridden. I wasn't sure how it was going to stack up against some of the more expensive ones. I'm happy to say I was pleasantly surprised, this bike for the money is probably the best value out there. I love how smooth it rides when I'm commuting to work. There's plenty of power when you need it, even on bigger hills. I've already recommended Velowave to many of my friends and would recommend it to anybody looking for a great bike at a really good price. The Ranger is an awesome bike, buy it!!! ... show more

I have beat this thing to the ground have currently about 445 miles on it and it stays strong. Battery life is the same as when I bought it. It has minor problems such as doesn't like a head wind and some cold days it doesn't want to kick the motor on when peddling but if you want what you pay for this bike is a must. It handles off road decently and excells on pavement. I've loaded it down with over 150 pounds including my 200 pound self and still could reach speeds as advertised. It's my first Electric Bike, so I wanted to keep my cost down around $1000, but get the look and functionality I desired for my 8 mile hilly commute. I sacrificed "torque sensor control" and light weight, for the bigger motor, hydraulic disc brakes, included throttle, included solid rear rack, and front suspension that came with this model. After taking months to make the purchase and watching reviews of many features and brands of ebikes, I felt this one would deliver the most bang for my buck. It did feel a little slow out of the box, so I found online instructions how to unlock more power from the motor than the stock default, and now enjoy faster top end speed (28+ MPH) and better hill climb assist, as well. With the updated power output, I would say I get approximately 30 miles on a charge, even with some steep hills, as long as I am pedaling most of the time. ... show more

At first I was a bit hesitant about spending over $1,000 for a bike through Amazon. But once I received the bike it’s awesome! The bike comes very well packaged and it was very easy to put it together. I am a huge fan of how the bike rides and is very comfy.
