I ordered this to replace an old hard wire kennel that was falling apart. Initially I decided to go with the soft sided version so I could pack it easily if we traveled somewhere by car. I found the kennel to be fairly simple to construct by myself. The directions are a series of pictures, which were intuitive except for the last step where it is necessary to have the kennel upside-down. Then you have to un-Velcro the bottom flaps and stretch them around the bottom support poles, then reattach the Velcro. I like that the bottom panel is attached to the sides and waterproof. It makes it very easy to wipe out when cleaning and it keeps any liquid from leaking through to the floor. The pad that comes with the kennel is actually really nice. It takes a full day for the foam to resume its full shape, but it nicely covers the bottom of the kennel. The cover is soft and washes well, A zipper at one end makes taking it on and off simple. The kennel size is standard for most kennel pads that are for a large kennel, but I feel that the height and width are a little more than standard which gives my dog a little extra space. The zipper doors feel robust and able to hold up for awhile. Again, this is a fabric kennel so I'm not expecting 10 years of use out of it, but it won't rust either. I am very pleased with this kennel and I would recommend to others who understand its limitations.

I got this for my small dog. I have his metal crate downstairs and I wanted something smaller and not as bulky to go upstairs. This is just what I was looking for. For my dog it is a good size, it gives him room to stretch out and even play in if he wants to. It was a little bit of a pain to get assembles, the poles are a little hard to get to slide through, but they do go. I like the the bed that goes inside. It is soft and comfortable. You do have to let it expand when it is received. It fits well intot he cover and it is easy to insert and remove. The cover is washable. This is pretty durable. My dog loves it. He goes in it at night and sleeps. We don't close it, but it makes him feel comfortable having his own little place to go.

First, the product is beautiful. I spent a lot of time choosing it above others. BUT, it is ridiculously hard to put together and I will probably return it, because I won't be able to actually get the whole thing assembled. The places to slide the poles really could stand to be literally just a hair wider and it wouldn't be so hard. The straps that are supposed to get closed with the velcro can't tighten as much as they are supposed to because everything is just so tight. Again, the product looks great and seem sturdy...but at this point, a little too sturdy as it is next to impossible for me to get the whole thing together.

I like that the Veehoo crate is lightweight, washable and soft. I wanted something that I could use for travel with my dog that would be easy to setup & take down. Set up is rather frustrating. The poles are hard to fit through the sleeves and difficult to remove. Tip: The poles are similar to tent poles. If you look carefully, one end is smaller than the other. I found using the smaller end made inserting the poles in the sleeve MUCH easier. Even with the frustrating setup, I will give this a try and possibly find a way not to disassemble it entirely for use during travel. I believe I can just release the Velcro and remove the top poles & collapse in the side poles (take them out of the tee connector, but keep them in the sleeve). The price point is also a little high for what this crate offers. My dog liked the crate. I put it in the laundry room and she got in on her own to test it out. The included pad has a removable cover and the pad covers the full bottom of the crate.
