Despite them being the hottest drinkware with the trendy accents, I’m hear to let you know these glasses are legit. They’re sturdy, durable, and pretty thick compared to the average glass. If your family is the type that grabs a glass, uses it once, then puts it in the dishwasher - i hear you, and i see you. I'm not blowin' smoke... these glasses are awesome. Top to bottom, side to side, inside n' out. All around, nice drinking glasses The texture is nice, like permanent buble wrap. It's satisfying to hold. Both sizes of the glasses are hefty... not heavy, but pretty dang close. They aren't overly large, although (as you can see in my second picture) the short glass, which holds a whopping 2 fewer ounces than the tall glass. These glasses are solid... firm... almost too big to hold comfortably... yet, at the same time, they don't feel like you may drop them, like it can sometimes feel with plain, smooth typical dinner table glasses, halfway through the meal when you can no longer get all of the fried chicken grease off of your fingers. When I was reading through the indo & details on the product page before deciding to order, somewhere I saw the word "stacked" or 'stacking"...something like that... and figured it meant the tall glasses. They look like they were designed to stack, which they do. I was curious, though, if the tall would stack on or in the short. It does. But that breaks some cosmic rule or something because time stood still, and everyone in my county held their collective breath as I tried getting them apart. Thankfully, I still have all 8 of the glasses that arrived this afternoon. Don't try that at home, kids. Almost forgot... when I was washing one of the glasses, prior to filling it with ice water, it felt secure in my hand while both washing and rinsing. That's a nice feature. I'm glad I ordered these and I'm already thinking about which of my other glasses will be going to Goodwill. So, nutshell version: They're hefty, look like bubble-wrap, feel secure during handwashing, comfortable to drink from, quirky-cute. I'd order them all over again & recommend them to anyone who's bored with the usual and wants to add some kind of kick to their dinner table... or coffee table... or side table... or nightstand. Ok, I'll shut up now. (Buy the glasses. Don't stack them!)
