This bed frame is such a great deal. It has a vintage look and is easy to assemble. A tool is included. It took my husband about an hour to put together. It was wrapped up in the box very well so nothing was damaged upon arrival. It would be helpful to have a buddy to help unwrap all of the pieces and clean up the mess from plastic, zip ties, and styrofoam. If you've read so far that this bed is a two person assembly job, you read correctly. I also combed the reviews before purchasing this, not so concerned with the assembly as I was with the sturdiness. Due in part to previous metal bed frames being wobbly, creaky, not worth the time it took for every time it woke you up in the middle of the night. That being said, the assembly was the only issue I ran into with this item. We started putting it together at around 12:30 at night (It had been a busy day) and we finished it by 4:30 am. So roughly 4 hours, give or take. It was four hours of exhaustion, irritability, one of us giving up on a part of the instructions and handing it off to the other. There were parts that one of us needed to hold while the other struggled with the nuts and bolts. If you don't have the arm strength to counter turn the nut and bolt in some areas, the thin little Hexa tool it gives you is pretty ineffective. So I recommend you come prepared with your own tools. And finally, the metal slats you slide in at the end will require some brute force for some of them. I say that because the bed frame is SO sturdy, the parts you have already assembled will NOT move to make this easier on you. So I guess you could say it's a good thing? Haha. Once you get past the teamwork-makes-the-dream work project, you have yourself one of the finest beds for the price and material. The metal is heavier than it looks, so it's not moving. All the extra parts it's gonna make you add really gives it a lot of support. There was no noise at all. And even with all our scuffling with the parts, the color never chipped or cracked. It has has plenty of storage space underneath and I think it's the prettiest bed I've owned honestly. I gave it 5 stars because the work made it worth it. But it will be work for you. And it will test friendship. So get you a friend who can withstand the trials of life and a bed frame. ;) **I'll update my review with some pictures and how it has with held up after a few weeks.** ... show more

This is a 2 man job for sure. And if you can get your hands on an allen DRILL, do it. I know it says not to use power tools for it but we did and the bed is just fine. You will regret not having one.

Very happy with this purchase decision! Aesthetically pleasing, sturdy and very easy to assemble on your own or with friends. I will caution though, the support legs on either side of the bed are extremely threatening to your toes so extra caution is needed to avoid a storm of curse words and angry toes. I am looking for cushion options myself to wrap around those. IMO the design of the bed could have moved these two legs inward. Aside from that, this is a great bedframe and I would buy it again. ... show more

The bed is so pretty and just what I wanted! Assembly was just fine, I did it on my own with no issues. I did dock a star because the structure for underneath didn’t go together right or they sent the wrong bar I’m not sure so one of the support legs stays a little loose, also the headboard is not quite as tall as the picture would have you think so once you place pillows on it you can’t see the headboard anymore, which is kind of a bummer because it’s so pretty.
