I've been wanting a platform bed for awhile now and the timing was right to finally get rid of my old bed (super high with a box spring, mattress and mattress topper - I needed a step stool to get into bed every night!). This one was priced right and I decided to take a chance on a metal frame bed (which I've never had before). Glad I did. This bed was super easy to put together - I did it in about an hour. It doesn't move around (I have hardwood floors) and is very sturdy. The VECELO Full Size bed I received arrived very well packaged. It was an easy assembly that required the attachment of the wooden headboard panels to the metal frame, the screwing in of the footboard frame (with preattached panel) to the three foldable length-wise supports, and finally the securing of the slats onto the rectangular frame. It took less 30-45 minutes total and was easier with two people. The assembled bed is simple but beautiful. It ooks exactly like the photos on Amazon. It has the rustic wooden look that matches the rest of my apartment aesthetic. The frame perfectly fits my 10 inch mattress. I like that it doesn't have raised edges that go around the mattress because, even though they may look nice, they make putting on fitted sheets and making the bed a little difficult, especially if the mattress is heavy. The frame is solid and doesn't creak with movements. For the price, this was the best bed frame with a great looking, wooden, elegant but simple headboard, I could find on Amazon. I would highly recommend this frame for anyone looking for a new one. ... show more

I gave this 5/5 stars for assembly, because all it takes is the fasteners and little wrench they give you. There is a lot to screw together, but it is not hard — just takes some time. I think I did it by myself in about two hours (I always read and reread instructions, and I was also called away by others a few times in the middle of the job). I did not put anything together in the wrong order or backwards, and if you don’t tighten too hard until the very end, the pieces all fit together well. Final product was nice, and I love the split headboard. I got the full size bed, and two adults and one adult have slept on it in our guest room so far. There is no need for a box spring with this bed, because it has the European type grid. We put a mid to upper grade mattress from the famous “Scandinavian chain store” on it, and guests said it was comfortable! Also, it makes no noise. One thing I would recommend is getting a bed skirt or use a larger bed spread that goes mostly to the floor, because the sheets you tuck in under the mattress will show coming through the bed slats/grid otherwise. I think this was a great purchase for our guest room, and would also work well for a teen room, in an apartment, or anywhere really. ... show more
