I have a bigger unit and needed a smaller one for the laundry room. I prefer the compressor one and this one met all my requirements. After going through many reviews, I decided to go with this unit. This unit is every efficient and comes with energy star certification. The water tank holds just enough water that needs to be emptied once every few days for me at least. It also has an option for continuous drain if needed which is definitely a plus. It's sleek in design and great in functionality. It has dehumidification, dry or continuous mode and can be set at certain humidity. It will come on and off automatically based on the setting. It's not too loud. I am very pleased with this unit and glad I chose this one. It's definitely worth its price. Time will tell how long it will last but it's going strong so far.

I love how easily to operate this small dehumidifier is. There are instructions included, but it's frankly pretty intuitive anyway. The only caveat is that you have to keep it upright for 24 hours before you get it going, in case it was standing on its head or side while shipping. I can deal with that. It's unobtrusive in the basement; you hardly see it next to a chair. I do hate having to empty it every day, because I've got bad knees and going up and down the stairs stinks, but I have no option. It comes with a tube for the water to drain off automatically, but we have a fully carpeted basement, so that's no bueno. However, it's easy to grab the reservoir, pull it out, drain it, and then stick it right back in there. I wish I had bought the bigger size, so I didn't have to empty it daily, but we also have a really moist basement, and I've got a bunch of books down there that I don't want to rot, so I do it. And it was a good price point, which is why I got it. I give it an "A" grade, because it works like a charm, and it's my fault after all that I didn't want to spend bigger bucks and get a larger one, so daily emptying is the price I pay for being thrifty. Also, it's smart enough that it stops when the reservoir is full of water, so I have not had to mop or sop anything up, which is a pretty brilliant design. It's smarter than me. ;)

I recently purchased a 2500 sqft basement dehumidifier, and it has truly been a game changer for our home. The dehumidifier worked great for the first few months, and made a significant impact to the overall comfort in my house. Not to mention it increased the effectiveness of my A/C (a welcome benefit for Houston summers) which helped with my electric bill. Unfortunately, however, the automatic shut off for a full reservoir began to malfunction and I came home to water on my floor. After emailing back and forth with customer service, we were unable to fix the issue, but they did provide me with a full refund. While I can't give five stars because the product did malfunction, the customer service rep I worked with and the final result were more than satisfactory. Despite my experience, I would recommend this product to others as it does do a great job of removing moisture form the air, I just need to bird dog it a little more than I would like.

Best dehumidifier for bedrooms or any room in your home! It takes so much water out of the air that I need to empty the tank on a normal day once, mild humidity 2 to 3 times and rain or 90+ humidity 4 to 6! That's a ton on yucky nasty sticky whatever that is no longer on my bed, furniture and clothes! This is year 2 and going strong. I got one for my daughter as well our windows are not new so this is absolutely vital in the summer. I think if I bought a third and put 2 in the back bedroom "old jealousy windows" it would fill both just as quickly. Game changer for years I just dealt with it but oh my heavens was is ever bad. You could fell the damp on the down comforters and I worried they'd be ruined from all the washing and intense heat from

I bought this about a year ago and used it a lot for 3 humid seasons in Austin. It works very well and very fast to draw the moisture out of the air. My friends are amazed how much moisture it can pull out of the air. I'm very sensitive to humidity and I can feel the air is dryer around this machine. It draws air in from the front grill and spits air out from one side. I don't know if that is the best set up for air circulation but I can feel that it works. It is very loud but I don't mind the fan noise. It must move air through quickly because it's super effective and fast. My house is 2400 sq ft with high ceilings (12-15ft) and this little thing is in no way adequate for the whole house. It services one 800sq ft room pretty well though. There's just a lot of air in my house volume wise because of those tall ceilings so that's not a knock on it. I was very happy with it up until recently when the auto-defrost stopped working. It now cakes up with ice and blocks the sensor from detecting the water level in the drip bucket. The bucket constantly overflows leaving me a big mess to mop up every time I go to pour out the water. I would have expected a dehumidifier to last longer than a year. You get what you pay for I guess. Edit: The company reached out to me and offered to replace my broken dehumidifier with a new unit when they read about my poor experience. It is nice to see they provide good customer service to make sure their clients are satisfied with their products. I will update on how the new unit does once I receive it.

So far, so good. The unit is a reasonable size and quiet enough, although I do turn it off to watch TV. The reservoir is definitely small, so at least for the first few days of use, I've emptied it twice per day. It is pulling plenty of water out of the air, and has made a noticeable difference for my basement. As others have noted, the reservoir can be a bit difficult to remove, but otherwise the unit is very easy to operate.

This unit works well, is fairly quiet, and controls are good. However, when compared to our ivation 1500 sf unit, it fails the test, removing approx half the water in the same timeframe under the same conditions. Great buy if you have little humidity to remove or a small room to use it in.
