You will need an adapter for the harness from Bergvill F/X. No audio adjustments, and usb is only for stick streaming. But still, it looks period correct and sounds good, when wired by somone component. No RCA outs for a sub.

I got this radio for my 1990 BMW 325is and it definitely fits the look of the dash, which I am happy with. Bluetooth pairing is easy. That’s all I can say about the good. BE AWARE, if you are purchasing this to work with a smartphone, the USB will NOT charge your phone. I found this out the hard way. The USB port is literally only for FAT32 USB drives with music played directly off them but that’s if you’re living 15 years ago. There is no clock display which is annoying. And for a long trip, if your phone needs power, you’re out of luck. I expected more out of this and am currently trying to figure out other options. ... show more

Matches the look of my bmw 2000 z3. Not a lot of unnecessary controls. Bluetooth connects almost instantly, at least faster than my other vehicles with more modern HUs.

I installed this in my '89 Nissan Hardbody along with 4 JVC speakers. The sound is great. The Continental head unit looks clean and simple and has most of the modern conveniences. The manual could be better for explaining settings. I've read most of the reviews for this unit and have some further thoughts. 1) There are customizable settings for bass, treble, fade, and balance and for a loud "on/off" option. The manual doesn't explain it at all. But, if you push the select button to access the preset equalizers as the manual instructs, and then press the << or >> buttons to scroll to individual equalizer settings. I found this by accident. Pleasantly surprised. 2) When connecting the wires, check for 12V from battery and 12V from ignition. If you are using an adapter connector, they will likely be swapped. Also, if you happen to be installing this in a 80-90's era Nissan anything, there is no ground in the connector (the black wire does not connect to a harness ground; you will have to make a chassis ground). 3) The unit will shut off if you push the volume too loud and the engine is not running. It's likely a self-protect feature based on available amperage from you battery. Also, be aware of your connected devices' volume level because this unit does not control your device. This is a perfect unit for anyone wanting to maintain a factory look but upgrade to modern needs. ... show more

This thing looks sick. Enjoy how it looks in my 88 Toyota pickup. A few issues must be admitted though. Off the bat my speakers sounded bad. I have 4 new speakers and two new tweeter’s but when it got up to audible levels the speakers would pop a bunch then the thing would turn off. No blown fuse, wiring was good. Ground was good. Couldn’t figure it out. I must be doing something wrong because this thing won’t power a single speaker/tweeter. I ended up getting an amp and RCA converter and ran all the speakers through the amp. Sounds pretty good now but then there’s the issue of this thing not having an EQ. Guess I should have done more research first huh? Anyway, all is good, war won. We bumpin. Maybe someone can tell me why it won’t power even my tweeters? ... show more

Let's face it. Your buying this because you have a Mercedes and you care about aesthetics while upgrading an old head unit. It's fills this specific purpose. Sound quality is ok. Functionality is ok. Probably a little pricey for the features... but you pay it because it's not the usual awful replacement head unit. ... show more

Installed in my 03 Z4 and looks great. Light color isn't an exact match, but pretty close to that era of Euro vehicles. Used the recommended wiring harness for my car & had to move a couple pins to get the illumination correct. Works great with phone, don't need the external mic that's included. When using Bluetooth (A2DP), the song info doesn't show but can control the phone app with the stereo buttons. This is a great alternative for those of us who want modern tech without the blaring disco lights or distracting touchscreens of other head units. If you are replacing an older BMW head unit, you will need to replace the amplifier as well. ... show more
