This is a very nice 100W Portable Solar Panel! It is a bifold panel that is held closed by magnets and the carry handles. It opens in a flash (not literally). The support legs are held folded by elastic straps that also put tension on the legs when they are deployed to hold them at the angle selected. Connect to the installed MC4 connectors with one or two provided adaptor sets to allow the panel to be plugged into any device that takes Anderson Powerpoles, XT60, DC8MM (aka: DC7909) or DC5521 connectors. That only leaves out power stations that take DC5525 connectors, but DC5521 to DC5525 adaptors are common. The unit is made from a rigid black plastic that maintains it rigidity when opened and closed - unlike some other floppy units. It uses no fabric materials or other absorbent materials that will eventually rot from water saturation. It has an IP64 rating - good for heavy rain showers, but you shouldn't take it swimming. This folding solar panel weights 9.9 pounds when out of the shipping boxes (it comes in a box within a box for security. I checked the wattage output when properly angled towards our NE PA winter sun on a rare sunny day with no shading. My watt-meter clocked it at 90 watts (18.4V & 4.91A). That is quite excellent in my experience. The Amazon advertising literature did not mention the open circuit voltage rating (Voc) for the panel. They corrected that omission in the Q&A section in response to my question. The answer? Voc: 24V & Ioc: 5.8A. I have included a picture of the data plate on the panel, which curiously also omitted the Voc/Ioc. Oddly, that information WAS available on a spec sheet printed on the inner shipping box - picture included. Why do I care about such an arcane value. You should never charge a portable power station (PPS) from a solar panel that has a higher Voc value than the voltage limit of the PPS. If you do, under some sunny conditions, the PPS won't charge due to high voltage protection - or it will burn out the PSS, if it was cheaply designed. I have more PPS's than I will admit in public, but five of them require a panel Voc of less than 24V, including one that just misses at 23.5V max allowable voltage. This is not a limitation of this VDL 100W solar panel, but of those weak PPS machines - but it is a value that should be easily found and adhered to. I have a dead PPS that would testify to that limitation if weren't burned out. Note: This limitation does not apply to the Voltage at Max Power (Vmp) which is always less than the Voc and is not considered a limitation. Likes: All popular connectors provided Good, thick, rigid plastic material - durable Easy setup and teardown Strong grommets on the four corners No fabric used in the construction to soak up water A reasonable size and weight Good power generation for a northern winter's sunny day. And the price isn't bad either. A 200W portable solar panel will charge your battery/PSS faster, but is heavier, bigger and harder to setup. Something to consider.

I was really excited to try this out. It was packed really well and feels very sturdy. The panels are thick and it has a nice coating on the back to protect it while folded up. Everything about this seems great, but I the plug doesn't fit my power bank (MICHELIN ML0728). Hopefully I will be able to find an adapter to make this work.

The media could not be loaded. It is really important to have solar panels these days because if something happens like a big storm and you end up out of power, this solar panel will be your savior. This a very convenient solar panel; I said convenient because it is foldable, easy to store behind thanks to its flat shape and lightweight, and gives 110 watts of power, which is enough to power a small TV, charge laptops, and even use a projector. It is really easy to install; it includes two adapters options commonly used on generators explicitly designed for that, the Anderson and DC jack plugs. Be aware that having just the solar panel won't do anything; you need to path that energy to convert it to DC or AC energy ready to plug your devices into it, and for that, I suggest a small generator of 300 Wh, which will be easy to hook or if you want to go an expert way you can buy other parts create your own source of solar power, but you will need a solar charge controller, a converter, batteries and wires with plugs; it is much work. Buying the generator is way easier and cheaper (like $200); the solar panel will keep charging the generator, which can give you a few hours of use until the next charge, and as long you have sunlight, you can recharge it unlimited times; obviously, you can not power something too big with this like a refrigerator because consume much more than 300 watts, always make sure you are not connecting something that consumes more than the generator gives. This solar panel is a good option; you can buy more of them and join them. That way, you double the power and time of use. I recommend it.

I love how easy this thing is to move around! Great for when you go camping. Comes with common type adapters. I tried it out today nice sunny day here in Maine. I did have some trees getting in the way for optimal sun exposure but the panel was still producing enough energy to charge up my little battery station. I plan to use this for weekend camping trips.. It's small and light enough to easily take on canoe trips!
