  • SMART SENSE KEYPAD Quick, secure access using the touch sensitive 4-digit Smart Sense keypad. A low battery indicator and tamper indicator are integrated into the keypad to provide feedback if the safe has been tampered with or if the backup battery power is getting low. Safe can detect tampering and activate a security sleep mode if multiple wrong codes are entered.
  • ANTI-THEFT FEATURES Signature anti-impact latch design, anti-pry construction, and included HD steel security cable can tether the safe in place. Accessory mounting plates sold separately for hard mounting in place.
  • The DS2e is the Essential Series version of the Smart Station. Based on the DS2i platform, the DS2e simplifies the overall design to essential functions. The safe features a 4-digit Smart Sense keypad and a functional front facing clock. There are also accessory charging ports, a single USB and USB-C port, on the safe's backside for accessory charging. The DS2e shares Vaultek's industry leading safe engineering and signature fit and finish, offering a fresh new variation for the Smart Station safe series.
  • BACKUP BATTERY Safe is powered by AC power adapter (included) and needs to be left plugged in. In the event of a power outage, 2 AAA batteries (not included) provide short term backup power. Manual backup keys are included.

I have both the biometric and non biometric mode DS2e. Everything works well. The non biometric version needs 2 double A backup batteries that are very hard to replace, as they are located in the drawer in the back and it is very difficult to open, access, and insert batteries.

I've had this safe for under 2wks and it's already malfunctioning. I used the usb port to charge my phone and now the digital display doesn't work. I've tried plugging into different outlets, nothing. The safe is currently running on 100%battery power. For $350+ I expected much more. It honestly looks very cheap. And very long. You'll definitely need to anchor it because it's size gives away any hopes of concealing the fact it's a safe. I have a warranty but wish I could return it for one of the cheaper options.
