I had fun putting this together with my 6 year old after I got it for him for his birthday (He had fun, too). Some parts if it were a bit tricky, but that why we did it together. The RC part of it works pretty well, although sometimes the front tires don't grip too well on hardwood and that can effect turning ability. We had a ton of fun playing demolition derby once we finished. Battery life is okay, but honestly I don't know how long RC car batteries should last. Lasts about 45 mins. I like that the battery for the car is rechargeable. Also, the first package they sent me was missing one of the bags of pieces, so we couldn't finish the vehicle completely. I contacted the seller and they got back to me within 24 hours and sent me another vehicle immediately. Great customer service and a great product. ... show more

My 6yr old and 10 year old worked together to build this RC car and remote control, and they DID need a lot of parent involvement. There are a lot of tiny little pieces that can be difficult to navigate, but once we got all the pieces separated and grouped together according to their shape/size, it was much easier to find what we needed as we worked through the instruction booklet. Also important to note, this is NOT a quick project. It took us several hours (spread across 5 days) to finish building the car. But it was worth it. The girls felt so accomplished when they saw the finished product, and they got to race it alongside RC cars they’ve purchased in the past. However, if you crash the car into anything, you can expect for parts of it to fall off and have to be clicked back into place. The car moves quickly and the remote works very well. Overall, this was a great STEM project, but it does require a certain level of patience. ... show more

Got this for my nephew as he loves building things and remote control cars. He is 7 and was able to mostly build it himself but I did have to help at some parts as they were very tricky and hard to squeeze into certain spots. Overall it is a good little car that is fun to build and pretty fast as well. I do think it was a little overpriced for what it is, but still not bad ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is such an awesome toy! We bought it for my son who is into building and race cars and he absolutely loved it!! My husband had to help him build it because he is four but it’s so easy to assemble that an older child could do it alone!
