I really like this Bookshelf! I've been debating on purchasing it for awhile, (especially after reading some of the reviews), and am glad I did. The assembly was easy and quick, and the directions were easy to follow despite being pictures only. The only issue I've noticed is that it's a tad wobbly, so I placed a small sticky felt furniture pad on the bottom of one leg. Besides that, it's fairly sturdy. I specifically wanted something with these dimensions, and the size is nice. It's also quite pretty, although that doesn't really show well in my photos. I got this to replace my old shelf and it is so cute! I love it and it’s bottom compartment is great to store extra items. Setting it up, it did take me about an hour to put together and you have to use tools. As a girl who lives on Oahu, I am used to building any furniture I order so it was a pretty easy build for me. I can see it being difficult for those who don’t have the access to a tool box or haven’t built something before. However if you have built things before and have the right tools, the instructions are very clear and there are arrows and labels to help! I definitely recommend if you are looking for a small shelf for an area in your home, it is simple and you can make it your own :) totally worth the price! ... show more

Semi-easy to put together. A lot of similar looking screws so keep them separated. The finished product is good. The lower doors align real well and close by pushing them in on a strong magnet that holds the doors closed. It took about an hour to assemble and everything fir into place. This book case looks terrific, so I'm happy. BUT it was a project to put together. As a single woman of a certain age, it took me four hours to put together and a couple of times the sequencing seemed wrong to me. Especially when they say to put the legs on and then after that you have to screw in four screws on the bottom with this little tool they provide, and the legs are in the way, so I had to keep doing half turns till I was ready to lose my mind. Also, the top and the back piece were a pain to line up properly. I wish the instructions had had text rather than just diagrams. Finally, the packing is that crumbly kind of Styrofoam that falls apart in endless little white balls that stick to everything and are static-y so every time you wipe off some, half of them stick back on. I'll be picking up little bits of Styrofoam for a week. Nevertheless, it is put together and looks wonderful and seems sturdy enough, though I wouldn't want to test it too much. I love these shelves! Bought three. We use one for books and decorations, and we left the doors off the other two and use them for DVDs. Features I like: - Attractive: looks like real wood - Sturdy - Kid-friendly: wall anchor included to prevent tipping - Assembly is simple: all parts separated and labeled. No written instructions, but pictures are pretty clear if you pay attention to details. - Sold by US company. Features that would improve it: - Written assembly instructions. I installed the sides upside down on the first one and had to back track. (Pay attention to locations of holes on sides.) - Shelf spacing is not adjustable as with some book cases, though I suppose this design contributes to it's sturdiness. I love the product, own the matching end table, and am considering the matching filing cabinet. If it matches your style, I highly recommend it. ... show more

Wood is heavy and seems good quality. Pieces go together well. Pay attention to which way the boards are supposed to face so you don't have to take it apart 2 times 🤣 the cabinet doors open and close beautifully and were very easy to put together

This is a great looking bookshelf. It's stylish and functional. I'm not sure about the sturdiness if filled with books. I'll only be using the cabinet to store some magazines and a few stationary supplies. I'll only be housing a few light weight decorative items on the shelves for now. It's on the smaller side too (which you may not gage by viewing the manufacturer's photos)so be sure to note the dimensions and look at other purchaser's pictures for better relativity. The assembly was a snap, with all parts included and perfectly aligned holes. Although I'm very pleased with the product overall, I'm rating this just a 3 because, as you can see in my second photo, they used a strip of black tape to hold together the back wall of the shelf. Definitely don't think this is part of the original design. I was hoping that maybe it was just used to reinforce the piece during shipping, but found that not be the case. The back wall is two pieces and is literally being held together with duct tape! I decided to keep it because this had been on my wish list for months and it took weeks to arrive once I finally ordered it. And most importantly the back of the unit will not be visible as it's against a wall and doesn't appear for me, this flaw will effect the integrity. Nonetheless, I think it's important to note, especially since this shelf was priced a bit cheaper at one point, in the $80 range, and should have stayed at there! ... show more
