Not a bad product here which I've used on two airplane round trips so far. I bought this to help decrease costs of water when traveling. I travel about 20 weeks a year for business and another couple for personal. As airport bottles of water typically are in the $3 to $4 range, that can get expensive fast. This bottle will supposedly hold about 0.7 liter (about 23 ounces), so a good size, and many airports now have bottle-filling stations to make this easy. It's all non-BPA plastic; out of the box it had a faint plastic smell which dissipated after a good washing at home. The head of the bottle opens somewhat easily, but you'll want to use both hands when it's full or close to it. Same when closing. Closing provides a solid snap so you know when it's really closed tight. The underside of the lid has what appears to be a silicon rubber seal; flexible but providing a good seal when closed. The drinking port is 1/2 inch in diameter: large enough to add water from a fountain, and large enough to overcome your mouth and spill over onto clothing if you're not careful. The entire head assembly screws off for cleaning or to add water or ice cubes; the mouth opening there is 1-1/8 inch. The entire threaded assembly on the bag appears to be solidly welded in place as do the welded seams of the bag itself. A plastic caribiner-type clip is solidly attached to the head to let you clip the bottle onto your backpack or carry-on bag. The clip opening is 7/8 inch, enough to get it clipped onto a bag handle or a molly-bag strip. When screwed in, the head aligns side-to side to allow for folding up the bottle. Simply roll the empty bag up from the bottom, then pivot the clip down to capture the rolled bottle. When rolled up, this guy is 5 inches wide by 3 inches high and easily slips into a side pocket of my carry-on bag. When filled with water, the bottle is flexible and usually take two hands to drink without spilling. So far I've had no leakage. After the initial washing, I filled it up and left it upside down overnight with nothing leaking. It's had some bumps against it while full and also no leakage. Overall, a good purchase so far. Only con: as noted above, it's not too easy drinking one-handed with this like you can with a solid bottle, but I don't mind that against the convenience factor.

The media could not be loaded. I first bought 2 Vapurs in 2015 and those bags traveled the world with us. Recently purchased 2 more for a trip to Europe. At the very first use.....I was soaked! See video. The other one was fine. Still disappointing :(

My boyfriend has this bottle in green, and he makes fun of me because his is rolled into a tight little tube as he schleps it to work and back every day, while I've had mine for a year or something now and have only folded it once. It's so pretty! I don't want it to be wrinkly! But that's the point - it holds up to the abuse of my boyfriend and he's had one longer than I have! I drink so much more water with this thing. I take it with me everywhere, tucked in my purse, and it's completely leak-proof (except for the one time when I washed it and the rubber seal shifted. Don't do that.) If you're someone (like my dad, per his recent comments) who manhandles things in a Hulk-like way, and can't remember to grab this bottle with a bit more of a delicate sensibility, you will inevitably spout a fountain and spill water all over yourself. Sucks to be you, 'cause this bottle is awesome.

I've bought three of these. I love them, but they just don't last. Two of them have failed with a crack on the seam, the most recent of which failed just 10 months after I bought it. (The other one failed because raccoons decided to play with it, and stabbed multiple holes in the sides, but that's no fault of Vapur.) Also, the rubber plug in the cap forms a black residue over time; I contacted Vapur and they said it was harmless, and offered to send a replacement cap...but I declined. They do have a one-year warranty, but you have to send the old bottle to them (at your cost), and then they'll only send you a replacement if they deem it to be covered under the warranty, which excludes "normal wear" and "natural breakdown of materials over a prolonged period"...so it seems not worth the risk of wasting money to send the bottle back to them since it only costs $13 to buy a new one anyway.

Here's the deal, if I were you, I would buy the Vapur ELEMENT Bottle. I got the element about a year an a half ago and loved it so much that I wanted to get another one in a 1 liter size. After perusing Amazon, I discovered the Eclipse bottle and it wooed me with it's sexy navy matte finish. Alas that matte finish is the thing I hate most about it. Don't get me wrong it's a good bottle, it works fine no problems to speak of. I've been using it for 2 months or so. I just find this material much stiffer than the Element bottle, and, in my mind, more apt to cracking apart after being used/rolled/folded and packed repeatedly. The matte finish is harder for me to grip and wants to slide out of my hands. Also this bottle gives the water a very slightly off taste if you leave the water in it to long. With the Element bottle NEVER even a hint of taste or odor from day one onward.

these are amazing. i bought 2 for a european vacation and unfortunately left them in a freezer in florence. loved them so much i had to buy again when i got home. never leaked, nice that they fold up, the hook never failed, super light-weight, easy to open and refill, and best of all-- no weird taste! im very sensitive to aftertaste and nothing here. we would freeze it every night before our next adventure and it worked beautifully giving us cold water most of the day. great product! i included a couple shots showing how we took it around italy with no issues.
