While I haven't had the chance to try this speaker near the water, I have no doubt that it would hold up just fine as it seems to be a very durable and well made Bluetooth speaker. It sounds great when we take it camping or outdoors during the summer months for a barbecue. The light feature is fun, but thankfully you can turn it off to save battery if you just want to focus on the music or the audio you are listening to. It connects quickly and easily to any device that you throw at it, or you can plug in directly via the auxiliary cable. There is thankfully a strap included for connecting it to a backpack when traveling, or perhaps even a belt loop if you had pockets deep enough to carry it. This speaker is great value for the price. Easy to connect via bluetooth and easily operated with buttons on the speaker. The volume was great for a small speaker. I felt that the battery didn't last as long as i would've liked but it wasnt a deal breaker.

Bought this speaker to replace my previous bluetooth speaker that was old and slowly dying. I bought it while it was on sale as I didn't want to spend a lot of money at the time and not knowing what the quality would be like I didn't want to chance it. I was so happy with the quality I ended up buying another one immediately. You can pair 2 speakers together which is an awesome feature. The battery life also seems to be decent. I have only charged it once so far after hours/ days of use. I have no complaints so far and am so glad I didn't spend 100's of dollars on a name brand speaker. ... show more

This blue tooth speaker is a lot better than expected, it is as loud as i would like it to be, neat and clear sound. Extremely well built, i did not stop using it for one single day since i bought it, i went to South America, took it with me and it worked non stop for 5 months there as well. Paid $40 for this. $50 would be okay. Not sure why they have some at over $100. I have a larger Sony at $120 that has better sound. At $50 this is a good one. Good quality build and sound.
