  • Great addition to any home gym
After months of research I finally decided to buy this machine and so far its been an amazing addition to my home gym. I’m able to do so many additional workouts that I could not hit with just normal free weights. The machine comes in one box and is packaged really well. I consider myself a handy guy but the directions are very intimidating at first but the best method for building this thing is to have an extra set of hands which will help a huge amount and work your way up. What I mean to say the directions have no words and they only show a diagram of where everything goes its really hard to explain but you’ll understand when you have them in front of you; so when I say work your way up start at the bottom build the foundation and work to the top. Having a socket set will help and an adjustable wrench is a must have. The cabling itself is very confusing because once again there are no words only pictures and arrows so best bet is once again start on when one point then work across each wheel. Other than that assembly is simple the further you get along with each piece it gets easier. You will have to do some modification depending on where you put this machine for me I put this in my basement against dry wall. What I did was get a piece of plywood and mount it against the mounting bracket for additional support since I’m not a fan of using dry wall anchors and wanted to mount it against studs. I just painted it the same color as the wall to make it blend in more. Compared to the other cable machines I feel like they are all similar and they all need some sort of modification needed to perfect the machine. All the research I did people recommended adding some height to overall structure to help with different exercises, I added some 2x4 on the front and back to raise it a little bit more, zip tired the pieces to the wood to just hold it place with the frame and its helped (I’m 5’10). Something else I did was I went to a local hardware store and bought a flat piece of metal and drilled three holes to have the ends of cables be one piece the picture I have attached makes more sense. This helped with the load management because when using the cable sides independently makes it a little awkward motion so I wanted to center it for a more of even weight distribution. The reason why I’m giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because I feel like the cable machine does not have enough cable resistance and retractability so that part is a bit annoying but for the price its understandable. I will post any updates with any problems or concerns. Update March/April 2020: After almost 6 months of use one I finally ran into my first issue on the machine which was the cable machine small retractable piece to adjust the cable broke then subsequently fell into the framing. I reached out to customer service via email and they responded in less than 2 hours and shipped a replacement out to me that day. Just got the part in the mail and they were so nice that they gave me 2 of the parts in case this happens again. Changing to 5 stars because the customer service was unbelievable and they sent the parts out to me free of charge. Other than that part breaking I have had zero issues. ... show more

  • Okay
This product isn’t bad but it’s not great. It does the job but it’s not smooth and has a lot of resistance even with zero weight on it which makes exercises like tricep pull downs not feel the best. The main problem I had with this product was the instruction manual. It was an actual joke. It’s like they tried to make it overly complicated for no reason. I found myself just shaking my head and laughing putting this thing together. It works well for overhead tricep exercises and face pulls. Overall not a terrible product but there is probably a better version out there for around the same price ... show more

  • Good equipment/ take time assembling
Ive been wanting a cable machine for a while and this was the only affordable one I could find in stock so went ahead and got it. It came packed well with luan board reinforcements in the box. Assembly was easy... Just take your time and do things right. I took the time to wipe down the guide bars with alcohol before assembly and cleaned all the threads and any rough surface or weld berries left from fabrication. I had a tight fit heightwise in my basement and had to assemble between floor joists to get the clearance needed. My concrete floor slopes up where it meets the wall and didnt want to drill into the cinder blocks so fabricated a floor mount from some angle iron and anchored studs in basement floor. I pre-assembled everything but left all bolts/nuts loose untill floor mount and a crossbrace for the top mount was fabricated and then I squared everything true before tightening all the bolts up. If you leave the guide poles loose then let the weight sled sit at the bottom and tighten bottom guide pole screws first..... Then hold the guide sled at the very top and tighten the top guide pole screws- it will help set the spacing for the guide poles to be at a perfect spacing for the weight sled to ride without binding.....nice and smooth. I also used a good synthetic plastic friendly grease on the guide poles and it functions nice and smooth. I didnt have any pulley problems others have mentioned. You have to tighten the pulley bolts just enough to cinch the metal ears in and capture the pulleys without slop but not so tight that the pulleys bind. I think alot of the issues ive read on here were assembly error. Your cables will stretch a bit after use so tighten your tension bolt to take out slack and to make sure the bolt is set securely and deep enough to not rip the threads out. Ive only had 150lbs on this sofar but been using it heavely for a few weeks and its great! I can really target triceps which was hard for me to do with free weights because of a bad shoulder doing dips or extensions with dumbells. Take time to assemble correctly and get a few more attachments and you can really expand your home gym possibilities for pretty cheap. I see its sold out now. If it comes back in...grab one.... Looks like they sell out fast! ... show more
