Unfortunately it looks like a firing defect the way the chip fell off. I would have rated the set excellent except for the mug. I haven't investigated an exchange yet and don't know if one mug can be replaced but I am not sending back the set just for one mug since I bought 2 full sets

Very nice dishes, but pictures I saw included four matching cups No not really just picture. For 6 dollars more I would have gotten them must have been some real fine print. Could not find them on their website very disappointing!!! Update. The company has said they will be sending mugs in the picture I bought the lovely dishes from. So I think read and make sure you know what you are buying. I do thank them and will review again when they arrive. Best

I like the irregular shape. They look lovely. And so far have handled great. I orderthe starry green, wish there was more green and less blue. Also wishe I could get dipping bowls or serving bowls to match.

I just opened these up last night and threw them in the dishwasher. I do have to say that they are sturdy and beautiful to look at. I especially love the pasta bowls. They were packed perfectly without any issue. I am very happy to have them.

This is a stunningly beautiful set. There are many other pieces you can get to match including spoon rests, a pedestal cake plate, and cookware etc. Pay attention to the sizes as I had trouble fitting the wide bowls into my small cupboards. I highly recommend this lovely set.
