My Ramblings You got kids? Especially teenage kids? Trying to decide between a trough and a bowl? Well, this currently seems to hold enough to satisfy my growing kids without the up and down to go get seconds and thirds.....and fourths. Let's take a closer look at these Super Sized Colorful Bowls. To the Point or TL;DR Large (9”x2” ish), Wonderful bright colors, Brightens any meal and table. Well made, tested in dishwasher (pass) and mircrowave (pass). Not just for pasta, Use for fruit bowl, Displaying cookies or treats. Be creative. We now use regularly for dinner. Every has picked a color. The Good Stuff This are just a great way to liven your dinner and table. We use them for a wide variety of meals regularly and of course, everyone has their favorite color! We wash them in the dishwasher without any issue, and in fact, we have never hand washed them. Kids love the swirls and talk about how fast their bowl is spinning. Maybe not get it too close to those with vertigo ;-). Personally, I like salad, not just some lettuce with a couple of toppings, but more like a crap load of toppings with some lettuce mixed it. This bowl keeps it all in place and makes it easy to mix in the dressing. I truly dislike have dressing just on the top and first few bites. The Bad Stuff None so far. I even tested it for lead and it came back negative for lead. Now I didn't chip a piece of glazing off, grind it into dust, and test the dust, but did a topical on the glaze and on the ceramic where it is exposed on the bottom. Who May Use/Like It Those wanting to up their dinner game with some color and fun or just barely manage to feed that always growing, nose stuck in the refrigerator, forever eating, child you love dearly. Me Final Thoughts We really like the color and convenience these bowls have added to our meals. They are just fun and can hold a lot of food. Looking forward to years of colorful enjoyment. This review is for the cool color version of the 50oz bowls. I love these bowls. If you are looking for bowls like this, I say, just buy them. These are great. I got these to have large dinner bowls for pasta and asian dishes. These are perfect. I like these bowls so much I feel like changing my typical menu to foods that use them just to use the bowls. The bowls are true to the measurements shown in the pictures. They are wide and have a nice deep curve so it will hold in your slippery foods no problem. I would use them for soups or things like that since it would be wide and shallow though. They are not light though but not so heavy as to be unwieldy. Most of the time this is going to be on a table anyway. The glazes are perfect, and I found no blemishes, mistakes, bubbles, or any other flaw in them. The only issue I have is the color choice. I like the assortment but wish there were a few more on the darker side instead of just one darker with the rest being light. The darker one has such a rich color in it. The others are very pretty as well so that is more personal preference. These are tagged on the bottom that they can be used in the dishwasher, fridge and microwave. So, an all-around easy dish to use and not save for only special occasions. Even though when using them they make it feel special. They aren't cheap. So, if you break dishes frequently then maybe steer away from these but otherwise, I recommend them.
