These bowls are very lightweight, yet sturdy. The size I bought is great for a side salad or a bowl of cereal, ice cream or oatmeal, etc. I feel that they're too small for a hot bowl of canned soup. They come in a wide variety of colors and sizes and washed up beautifully in the dishwasher without any marks or water stains. They're also microwave safe, although I haven't tried that yet. The true test will be when I reheat something with spaghetti sauce to see if they stain or not. I'll update my review if they do end up staining or pitting after microwave use. They shipped on time and come packaged in a box and nothing was damaged. I plan to purchase the next size up for microwaving my favorite canned soups. Their functionality, versatility, durabiluty, color and size choices alone are great, but the sustainability aspect of this product is the main reason I bought them and I am not disappointed. They're a solid choice that I feel good about recommending.

I make lots of homemade soups, 5 gallons at a time. We then freeze them in 2C containers and microwave them at our leisure. This is our primary use for these. Our past bowls were handled ceramics. They got very hot in the microwave and although they were "microwave safe" most of them cracked on us - just thawing and heating soup. These comments are based on this use. Pros: * Don't heat up in the microwave, so unless your food gets hot enough to melt these, they will be great. * Because of the above, thick soups do not burn to the sides of the bowl while microwaving making cleanup SUPER easy. * They are super light. * They are great heat insulators, I can hold a bowl of soup that is too hot to eat. They get a little warm right where the soup is, but they have a little ridge around the bottom so when the soup is very hot, I can hold the bowl by the ridge and the rim. By the time it is edible, the entire bowl is cool to the touch. * They seem pretty strong. * Inexpensive - always a plus. * Good enough that I already bought 8 more ;-) Cons: *They look like cheap plastic. Not really a con since you can see what they look like on the picture, but I would love to find some nicely designed bowls made out of this material.

I was looking for some small bowls for cereal or ice cream or soup... I have some glass ones but they tend to be very hot when I use them for soup. I had some old snack sized bowls I'd used for years but I wanted some newer ones and slightly larger. These were the perfect size. I like that they have the little ridges on the outside, helps old hands hold the bowl... They wash up well, haven't stained at al which impressed me. I have hand washed and also put them in the dishwasher and they did great. They were reasonably priced and the seller shipped them quickly so I was happy with my purchase.

My husband broke one of my constantly used yellow plastic bowls and I really missed it! So to Amazon I went, looking for more. Couldn't find them! So I looked again, measured to make sure what size I needed - and kept coming back to these bowls. Besides being available in exactly the size I was looking for (24 oz.), I liked their appearance. Each time we want to microwave something, we have to drag out another paper plate or bowl. But . . . you CAN microwave in these bowls! There is nothing "hazardous" in the bowls. And they can be popped into the dishwasher. And!!! They are not breakable. Okay . . . what's not to like about them?! Good-looking, deep, microwaveable, dishwasher safe, unbreakable, nothing hazardous in them, reasonably priced, light-weight and nice, warm colors. It's a win-win several times over!

These bowls are pretty versatile. They are large enough to hold most things a person would eat. They are also pretty easy to clean since there is some sort of smooth coating on the inside. If you put something hot in the bowl it insulates it decently so you won’t completely burn your hands when trying to move it. It also is microwave safe which is really nice. Also the bowl is made of a sturdy plastic and it is hard for my to see how someone could break it accidentally. I also love the nice pastel colors. Overall a great product, especially considering the price.
