Featuring extra-thick yellow translucent walls with raised volume markings for fluid readings. Keep fluids from sloshing out of the tank with the included 6” tank lid with tether. Get complete drainage with the molded-in drain port that comes with a threaded tethered cap. Made of polyethylene and UV stabilizers to protect against the harshest elements and chemicals. I purchased two of these to use as fresh water storage and transport tanks for my offgrid vacation property. I drilled the center depression to fit a boiler drain valve and use garden hose fittings to connect the tank to a diaphragm pump. The tanks have held up well to sun, winter, and frequent use. They are easy to clean out through the lid, have a drain plug for winter, and stand up well to being moved either empty or full. These were half the cost of what I would have been able to buy in a farm store. They don't impart any smell or taste to the water. I don't drink out of them, but I use them for washing dishes, showering, etc. ... show more

Great tank for the money. I wish I understood what a sump was before ordering and maybe more pictures would be better of the different configurations, but I ordered with a sump thinking it was a lower area and I would be able to get all the fluid out of the tank if it ran into one spot. I didn't realize this was a large bowl on the bottom of the tank that would prevent it from sitting flat. As it worked out, I used a bulkhead and hose inside to run to this sump area and mounted the tank on a pallet with a hole in the middle for the sump. Nice tank, thick and fairly rigid. I used it to haul diesel out to a farm while doing land clearing. Beats hauling 5 5gal jugs around, especially after installing a pump.

    • Instructions for safe mounting would have helped.

The caps and tethers need to be assembled and will confuse some. So basic info would have helped - so here it is. The outlet is G.H.T. not NPT. So you need to buy appropriate fittings if you want to attach a valve. Suggest using a short flex transition hose to avoid damage. The 4 threaded inserts in the base are 5/16-18 .They are barely 1/2" deep so use super short machine screws gently or you'll burst them. The 6 inserts on the top are 10-24 . They are also very shallow ,so be gentle. The tank design is unstable when 1/2- 3/4 full over uneven terrain. I attached a wide plywood base to prevent it rolling over. You'll also need to attach some tethering to prevent it rolling and sliding. There is swarf inside the tank so rinse and repeat before connecting to a sprayer to avoid multiple blockages. All this info should have been in the Instructions. There are no Instructions included - hence this note. ... show more

I have pumped water out of a stream many, many times right into this tank. I carry a 1.5 hp pump and this tank in the back of my Can-Am UTV. My system works great. The material is tough and the little drain in front is essential. Nice big mouth on the tank. After 6 months I ordered another larger version that held more water.
