I compared many of the available step ladders on Amazon and finally settled on this one. I wanted a high weight rating, four steps and hand rails. It has been awesome, we have found things we had forgotten we had on shelves in the back of the panty. It arrived mostly assembled; we just had to add the side rails. They provided decent instructions and hardware, but it was pretty intuitive. The feet on the base of the unit swivel and allow you to make a stable footing, the rails provide excellent stability for a senior climber and the upper bar offers one more point of stabilization. They include a neat little project bag at the top, but I removed it so I had one more rail to grab. I did have a problem with the label. They have a very, very solid plastic card with the brand name. The label on mine was not fully seated into the recessed area, so when I reached to pull myself up, the firm edge of the label caused a scrape across my wrist as I pulled up. The label was easy to remove, but something to be aware of. All in all, this step ladder has been an excellent purchase. It is stable, has good reach and the side rails are perfect!

Very sturdy and well made step ladder. It feels solid when standing on it and does not wobble at all. The steps have a non-slip surface, which makes it feel safe to use. Great ladder, very stable, makes it easy and safe to reach top of tall Christmas trees, high areas of house. Easy to move, railings make you very safe and stable. Sr and couldn't balance/use regular ladders anymore. Exactly what I needed!

The ladder was easy to assemble. It seems sturdy enough, but the cross pieces in the back area extremely thin and I don't know how they add anything to the stability. The rubber feet keep coming off and I'm afraid they're going to get lost when it gets moved. When looking at the various ladders on Amazon I thought the upper curved part went up higher than some of the other ladders so I thought it would be better for stability when I climbed up. In using it I was really sorry I got one without a platform on the upper step.

this ladder was sturdy and yet light weight to move around. the steps are wide and deep so that you can stand confidently on them at any height and the handle rails make it easy to climb and give you stability as you stand. this allowed us to complete an outdoor project of recaulking some large windows safely--oh yeah the US here-- we are both 77 years old.

Requires a bit of assembly but nothing onorous; all the hardware necessary plus an allen key is included. It's solid, and made of steel tubing which extends higher than the ladder itself and provides a good steadying grip for when you're on the topmost rung. There's also a tool bag included that hangs horizontally over said grip; very useful for keeping the tools you need when working up there within easy reach. The only drawback is that the rungs are made of plastic rather than steel which means it isn't as solid and durable as it could be.
