  • Professional Results Without the Professional Price
I purchased this primarily for binding legal documents, and it has exceeded my expectations. For anyone who regularly prepares reports, presentations, manuals, or legal filings, this machine offers features that are typically found on much more expensive units. Pros: The machine feels well built and has enough weight that it stays planted while punching pages. The punch action is smooth and consistent, producing clean holes without requiring excessive effort. The electric coil inserter is a huge time saver. If you’ve ever manually spun dozens of spiral bindings into place, you’ll immediately appreciate how much faster this makes the process. I also appreciate the adjustable punch depth and margin settings. Those allow you to fine tune the finished product depending on the thickness of the document, giving the final result a much more professional appearance. The open punch throat is another nice feature for anyone working with oversized pages or custom document sizes. Overall operation is straightforward, and after a few practice runs it becomes very intuitive. Cons: It’s fairly large, so you’ll want a dedicated place to store it if you don’t use it regularly. Bottom Line: This is an excellent spiral binding machine that delivers professional-looking results without requiring a commercial print shop budget. Between the sturdy construction, clean punching, and electric coil inserter, it makes producing polished documents fast and easy. Whether you’re an attorney, teacher, business owner, or anyone who frequently binds documents, this machine is an easy recommendation. ... show more

  • My Students Are About to Become Unstoppably Organized
Mwuahahahaha. This machine has opened an entirely new universe of possibilities for me. One minute I was a nursing professor. The next minute I was standing over a stack of papers like an office-supply supervillain whispering, “Soon... you shall all become professional-looking booklets.” I absolutely love this thing. Setup was straightforward, punching pages is easy, and the electric coil inserter makes binding feel almost suspiciously effortless. I kept waiting for the part where I had to wrestle with misaligned holes, tangled coils, or some sort of paper-based betrayal. It never happened. The punch creates clean holes, the adjustable settings are useful, and the coils feed smoothly. I was able to go from a pile of loose pages to a polished booklet in just a few minutes. The whole process feels intuitive enough that I spent more time deciding what to bind than actually binding it. This is particularly dangerous for anyone who enjoys making handouts, training materials, reference guides, planners, manuals, or educational resources. Suddenly every document starts looking at you and saying, “You know... I'd look pretty classy with a spiral binding.” My nursing students should probably prepare themselves. Today it's study guides. Tomorrow it's skills checklists. Next week I may be distributing professionally bound pamphlets on the proper care and feeding of nursing professors. Works exactly as described, operates smoothly, and has officially enabled my descent into booklet-related madness. Five enthusiastic stars. ... show more

  • Great machine...kind of loud!
I own different binding machines, but I had yet to own one for spiral coils. I had to have this, and I love it. However, it has some flaws. First, it is heavy, so place it where you want to keep it. It states it can punch up to 20 pages. I use thicker A5 paper and put maybe 15 pages in there, and it does good at punching, but releasing is an issue. The handle is so loud and squeaky, like maybe it needs oil or it is on there too tight. It doesn't make a sound when pushing down, only when releasing it back up. It is rather annoying. I make laminated soft covers, so it punches the laminated sticker paper, but it leaves behind paper in the holes, as if it is not sharp enough. I do not know if there is a way to sharpen punching blades. I would think this needs to be sharp enough, as it is brand new. It is not just with the laminate. It does it with regular paper as well. I have to pull out pieces and some I have to use a small cutter to pop them out. It won't fully cut some of the holes. The electric spinner definitely is not my favorite part. I was excited for it, but I cannot get the hang of it. It spins but does not catch the spiral. I am using the spirals it came with. I do not know the size, as it does not state anywhere what size spirals they are, but I tried multiple times and gave up. I can manually do the spirals, as it is probably faster, but it would be nice to try the electric part. I also like the three different margin options. At first, I was not sure what that button did. I looked it up, and I realized it changes margins, which is absolutely great for planners and journals. It gives you more options on different sizes of books. Great feature! Overall, I do like this machine. I may need to take apart the handle and see what is causing such loud sounds and look up how to sharpen blades. I'll keep using it and have many planners already done with it. I do think it should have includes spiral crimpers to make it complete, but that is just my opinion. It is a nice machine, not top rated like others, but it gets the job done!!! ... show more

  • Works great...easy to use
I have never used a coil binding machine before. I was surprised how easy this is to operate and how quickly it does the job. The machine is heavy and can take up a little space on the counter but it works exactly as described. The instructions are easy to follow. It comes with coils and you can buy more if needed. I can punch 20 sheets at a time and it will coil bind 190 sheets at a time...more if you do it manually. It is a little noisy but not bad at all. It works amazingly well. It is so much faster and simpler than punching holes in paper with a 3 hole punch and putting in binders. Looks better too when done. I would recommend this for anyone looking to bind paper with coils. Great machine and the value is excellent especially if you use the coupon. I have had no issues so far when binding papers. ... show more

  • So easy to use!
I am really happy with this spiral coil binding machine! It was surprisingly easy to use, even on my first project. The punch easily handled up to 20 pages at a time, and the coil fed right in without any frustration. I also liked that it’s easy to adjust the punch pattern and skip holes when needed. The only part that requires electricity is the coil roller, which is convenient since the rest operates manually. Everything worked smoothly, and the finished books looked great. Overall, this is a user-friendly binding machine that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I can definitely see myself using it often. ... show more

I really like this new coil binding machine. The set up process was easy and the directions are clear as to how to operate it. It came with 100 coils, so I can get a lot of my pages bound up now. This machine cuts the pages and can bind up to 500 sheets. It feels well made, so I truly believe that it will last. This machine inserts the coils so quickly and the pages are bound together perfectly. ... show more

  • Better than Paying for a Professional Service
What an amazing machine! Quality item, easy to ease, seems durable The bonus is the electric coil threader... it is very quiet, works nearly every time, though sometimes a coil will go through but miss a couple pages... easy to unwind and correct.
