  • Solid bike for the money
Color: Grey
I really like the bike. It runs well, it came mostly together, however, the most annoying thing is the speedometer is off by about 10 mph. I didn't think it would be such a problem (look at the YouTube videos, there are known issue to theses) but trying to look at my phone, the dash and the road is tiresome. It is not a Grom, maybe I would have gone with the older, less expensive version, but I haven't found any loose bolts. There was one issue, the rubber chain guard was upside down and could have seriously wrapped up in the chain. I heard a flapping sound and eventually figured it out. It runs fine stock, I've gotten it over 50 mph, however, it's a little frightening. I don't trust it like I would trust a Honda, but during the limited time I've had it it's not giving me reason to doubt it. The customer service was great, there's a host of videos to do EVERYTHING on these. There are a bunch of simple things one can do to strengthen them, make them more reliable and make them faster. Maybe I should have sought out a used Grom, but it's a brand new bike I can make close to a Grom. With a new Grom, $1,800 would be close to eaten up in the shipping cost ($300) and document fees and whatnot. Most of the mods for these are the same mods people do on the Groms, same parts. If you ride it as it not that they are not fast, I put in the 17T sprocket which gave it more of a first gear, but it's been 40 years since I have been on a bike, in a car when in doubt, I just blow past people. Don't have that option on this thing. I should probably give it 5 stars, I knew going in, but the speedometer just kills me. And the tires I hear are not the best, and just bad in the rain. The Grom stock tires aren't much better is also what I hear. Regardless, I think I got a great deal. And just for the record, I'm the husband. ... show more
