While it came with instructions, theyre not entirely clear. It does not tell you that to seal the bag at one end you need to cut the plastic off, seal it, add your food item, then seal the other end. It is also very loud, heavy and bulky to use. It does work, I used it to seal 10# of hamburger meat the first time I used it. So far it is not freezer burnt and hasnt sucked in any air.

My DUXANO Vacuum Sealer Machine is an amazing tool for storing foods. It is awesome for storing meats, veggies, fruits, cheese, and dried goods like flour, and sugar. This is a Powerful Pro Vacuum Food Sealer with Built-in Cutter and Bag Storage! It helps me to extend the shelf life of my bulk goods. It features both an auto and manual options. This high powered vacuum sealer has 3 food modes so I can select the perfect preserving mode for my food and an LED indicator. It has so many options for dry or food settings. I can choose the dry setting for solid food items and the moist setting for poached, simmered, or steamed food. I love how perfectly this vacuum sealer performs every single time. I can even vacuum seal chips so I don’t haven’t worry anymore about keeping up with those pesky little clips! It’s so stylish as well! I love his easy it is to use and how great it looks!

I ordered this to pack my freezer full and found that it works well for sous vide cooking as well. It is easy to operate and comes with everything you need to get started vacuum sealing. Only complaint was the shipping time was very delayed. But once I got it, I was happy to have it!

We have used vacuum sealers for years. Each fall/winter we harvest and process deer, chickens, and a few others to store up for the year. If you use bags, then the cutters on the sealer are not a necessity. However, due to the various cuts and sizes of what we store, we have found that the rolls are better for us, and this makes a cutter very helpful. I have done it with scissors, but to roll out the bag and make a square cut with a simple swipe is definitely a time saver when processing a large amount of pounds of meat at a time. This also leads to another important function on this sealer for us, the overheat protection. We have had sealers that would only work for a few times, and then you had to let them cool down. Having the ability to seal continuously makes things a lot easier for how we like to pack up our meats. So, be aware, not all sealers are the same. Make sure to get the right one to satisfy your needs.

I happened to be portioning out some ground beef for the freezer when Amazon delivered this item. Talk about perfect timing. The instructions are reasonably easy to understand, especially if you've ever used a vacuum sealer before. Cut the bag to length (about 2 - 3 inches longer than what you plan to put inside it), seal one end, insert food and vacuum/seal the other end. Everything worked perfectly, except that on the first try i just shut the top and failed to press the top until it "clicked closed". My first seal didn't work, but after realizing my error, I was able to put another good seal on the same bag and everything went perfectly going forward. One of the nice features of this unit is that it has a "soft" foods function. At this setting, it pulls slightly less vacuum on the food, so that it doesn't squash the contents. You don't want to compress ground beef too much, for example. If you do, it squishes together and the consistency when you defrost it isn't the same, it gets too solid (if that makes sense), which is not good. This unit handles that issue very well, as you can see from the attached before and after vacuuming photos. Overall, this is a very nice vacuum sealer, easy to use (just be sure to click the top fully closed), handles a variety of foods with it's flexible settings and is easy to clean. Two thumbs up.

This is a very decent vacuum-sealing machine. I took it out of its box this morning and read through the booklet of instructions. The instructions were pretty clear, except explaining how to lock it. I kept pushing the little buttons on either side, because the instructions said that they were the "lock/unlock" buttons. Now, to clarify... The buttons on either side are to UNLOCK the top. You LOCK it by pushing down (with gentle firmness) on the unit, until you hear it "click." There is a digital read-out display that counts down the sealing process. I don't see the necessity of that, since you can hear it turn off when it's done sealing. I haven't tried finding another purpose yet for the digital read-out, so I probably can't really judge its merits. It comes with two bag rolls, that can be cut directly from the machine, and I like that. I went through the process of cutting and sealing one end of a bag, filling it with apple slices and vacuum-sealing it, and it turned out perfectly! I also like to double-seal the end, so I placed it in the machine to (only) seal it a second time. I have a feeling I'm going to be doing a lot of experimenting with this vacuum-sealer machine. It has an external vacuum system, which I won't be able to use until I get more accessories. In the meantime, it fits very nicely on the cabinet shelf below my counter—easy in, easy out—and doesn't take up very much space. This is a very good price for what you get, and I highly recommend it!
