This was much easier to use than I expected. Just put the ends of the bag in the notch, push down hard until you hear a click, then press a button and voila, you get a neatly vacuumed bag. Release with a button on the sides. I also appreciate that the suction happens slowly enough that it's easy to press stop then seal for delicate items like bread that you don't want squished. It also sealed frozen soup with no problem at all. Just make sure to wipe the area where the seal will be placed so that there are no liquids getting in the way of sealing. I bought pre-cut quart sized bags with this (Bonsenkitchen brand) and was happy to find out that they're compatible. Although the rolls are more economical, I feel that the pre-cut bags make me reach for this thing more frequently, because you have to cut then seal both ends with rolls. Oh, and this is smaller than I thought from looking at the pictures. It's about the size of a paper towel if a paper towel was squished flat, and pretty light (which I like for my cramped kitched). Overall a lot of qualities that make me think I'll use this a lot more than I thought! ... show more

¡Estoy muy satisfecha! Ha cumplido con mis necesidades y me ha servido justo para lo que lo compré. En casa y en mi pequeño emprendimiento lo uso para comprar carnes, quesos y otros perecederos por volumen y poder guardar y así ahorrar. En mi negocio me ha ayudado a poder cocinar doble y almacenar para siempre tener guisados en stock. No he utilizado el empacado para tarros o botellas, pero espero pronto poder subir algo al respecto. Si les recomiendo leer blogs sobre empacado al vacío para sacarle mejor provecho, ya que el instructivo es muy básico, para lograr entender que si y que no se puede empacar así y lograr mejores resultados pronto. La función de solo sellado, me ha resultado también muy útil para poder congelar otras cosas que no van al vacío pero si poder acomodar mejor mi refrigerador o armar paquetes anti-derrames para enviar mi comida. El tamaño es tan cómodo que lo puedo tener en mi alacena sin utilizar mucho espacio y moverlo por toda la cocina para acomodarlo donde vaya a empacar, ya sea la mesa o la encimera de la cocina. ... show more

I wanted to wait until I had used this sealer before writing a review. This way I can give my honest opinion. I have had several sealers over the years and most only lasted about 2 years or less. I have used this NutriChef a lot and haven't had any problems with it. It does a great job of vacuum sealing and pulling out all the air. I like to flash-freeze berries, mushrooms, meats, etc before I seal them. This way you don't have any juices or liquid being suctioned out and making a mess I find that if I lift the bag and keep it level with the machine, it really does a great job! I buy the large rolls of bags and cut and seal them to fit whatever I am sealing. Also, I will make an extra long bag and then seal it at the top and when you want to take out the berries or loose food, just reseal it again. I think this is a well-built machine and a real bargain at this price. ... show more

I purchased this product about 8 months ago. At first all was great. We packaged lots of meat and it worked really well on freezing homemade cat food. I loved the ease of stacking the bags in the freezer to save on space. Unfortunately the unit began to malfunction and did not have much suction. I contacted customer service and they were super easy to work with and helped to resolve my issue. I was sent a new unit. It works great. This sealer sucks and seals well. I also really like that the heating element is on the upper end of the sealer, so you can't accidently burn yourself positioning bags on repeated multiple use. Being a 20+ year vac/sealer user, I can tell you that the quart size bags (8 in wide) work much easier/better than the 11" wide gallon bags. The prebuilt quart or pint bags on ebay work extremely well and are cost effective. Snapping the two sides shut is a bit difficult (hope it eases a bit over time). Worst issue is that the button labeling is done in white on a silver base. Totally unreadable at many angles. You have to work to find an angle to read the white lettering - totally dumb! Would have worked perfectly using black labeling. I will do my own button labels (black on clear). ... show more

I recently went onto keto, a big thing used there is cheese, when you can go to bulk shopping stores and a 5lb bag of cheese is 15$ when the local stores have a 1lb bag for 9$, it was in my best interest to freeze most of it. But with a vacuum sealer I can make that cheese last even longer in the freezer without getting the inevitable freezer burn as fast. Shipped fast, but in original packaging with a USPS label on it. Should have been inside another box. Package was crushed up but product doesn't seem harmed and it sealed really well the first few things I tried it on. Bought a warranty cause I go through a sealer a year... hoping this brand is better! ... show more

It has easy to understand instructions and worked really well. The only complaint I have is that the closing mechanism is very hard to work. I think as time goes on, it will be easier to close. Otherwise, it is great and I am very satisfied.
