The dependable vacuum sealer! We purchased our original NutriChef food vacuum sealer in August of 2018, it had worked perfectly for us over the years, no problems or issues and saved us a lot of money. The quality of this product is undeniable, years of service to us and now we have purchased a new one. It comes with easy-to-follow instructions, low noise level, works great for dry or wet storage and food preservation.     • Good product, but one suggestion.

Just received and used the vacuum sealer. It works great, but I have a suggested improvement: add an arrow or other indicator where the edge of the open bag should lay in the vacuum oval. Once you’ve done it right it seems obvious, but first time (or after a long delay between uses) it’s not so clear. The open lip of the bag has to be in the center of the oval. My first two attempts I laid the bag opening up too far, across the back of the oval, and got one seal with no vacuum, and a second with no vacuum or seal. Then I watched a couple of videos and saw how to do it right. Perfect seal every time after. The manual has a photo but it’s too dark to see where the opening of the bag goes. Maybe a little card (Nutrichef already tosses in the box several notes about registering the product and promotions, so what’s one more.) with an illustration on where the lip of the bag goes. Could be helpful for other family members who are using it for the first time. ... show more

I love this thing and use it to seal everything now! I had one in the past but it was hit and miss sometimes on both getting it to seal...and keeping sealed (they seemed to randomly leak air after a while.) It's very compact so I keep it put away until I need to use it. I have tried both dry and moist foods and it seems to work great on both (there is a setting for each.) Plus if you just want to seal something without vacuum, it does a great job of that too. I use the MakMeFre bags with this and have never had a puncture (even when I seal homemade beef jerky.) They work great and are very affordable. Get this sealer and you won't be disappointed! ... show more

If I could give zero stars I would. My recent email: I am reaching out in frustration. In September, my husband and I purchased a vacuum sealer. Within a month the item would no longer properly seal our food. We went through a replacement process and received a new one. I believe we received the new one sometime in November. Today my husband went to vacuum seal $80 dollars worth of meat we recently purchased only to find that again the vacuum sealer will release the seal during the final sealing process. We have used multiple types of bags to have the same result. At this point we do not expect a new item. We purchased the exact sealer multiple years ago, and it worked great until it finally gave out. We have now had two in less than 6 months to now be out money from the purchase of a new sealer, and now potentially $80.00 worth of meat. We are a one income family and rely on the vacuum sealer when we come across deals on meat. All you have done is now cost us money. I will make it my life goal to make sure no one else is put in the position my family has been with your product. ... show more

I love this vacuum sealer! I had debated for years on buying a vacuum sealer and saw this one at such a reasonable price I decided to get it and am so happy I did. It is easy to use, works like a charm and fits easily in my cabinet. It sucks all the air out and seals perfectly in seconds. I have not used it to seal any thing that is pure liquid so I can not comment on that but for everything I have used it for it works great. I mainly use it to seal meats and pre-prepped breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos. Makes it easy to buy a large package of meat and seal them for our individual dinners. I will typically freeze everything first, place them in bags and make sure to press down the top on both side until I hear the "click" press the button and it works its magic. I would certainly buy another one if this one ever wears out and highly reccomend it to anyone who is looking for a vacuum sealer. ... show more

Absolutely loved it, until it broke. Of all things it was the locking tab. Didn’t break out if neglect, but just a weak spot. Before that I liked the moisture and gentle setting that this unit had over the food saver brand I had before. Price was good and better than name brands. To share how much I used it: I would say I seal 7-8 items a month for 4.2 years (roughly 380 uses). Seems small when I break it down like that. I seal up meat I find on sale or buy at Costco and veggies, berries, and fruit from the garden. Once in a while meals that I’ve made too much of and won’t get through. I went with another brand when it broke and hope this one will last longer. ... show more
