  • Now 1000+ Mile Review, Great Commuter Bike AND Customer Service!
Color: 48V20Ah Brown
The Good: This is a solid, quick little bike! I bought mine October 2024 and as of this writing in April 2025, I've put just under 900 miles on it, mostly as a commuter bike across the Golden Gate Bridge because I got tired of the perpetually-increasing and asinine toll into San Francisco. I'm 6 feet tall and 225 and with this bike I pass the SF cycle crowd almost like they're standing still. Probably a lighter rider could run circles around them. Super73s are cool for wheelies and saying "skibidi" from etc, but if you don't care about that and you just need to get to where you're going, mash the throttle and blow right past them. There's been the odd Talaria or Sur-Ron that I've moved over for, but it's rare. Generally I don't think SF folks go for those types of bikes, not on that side of town anyway, and besides I have a feeling Bridge Patrol would be more likely to stop someone on a Talaria/Sur-Ron type bike, but the Amyet maintains enough of a regular bicycle appearance and operation that in 900 miles, the only time I was ever stopped by the cops was for riding my bike across on the wrong side on the wrong day. They were chill though, and I think in general most cops, even in Cali where there's laws against everything, are chill about ebikes as long as you're not acting a fool. If you can ride reasonably and carefully around pedestrians and other cyclists, I think this bike will work well for you. The Not So Good: My dumb luck had me getting three flat tires in the first month or so of routine use. The tires are sort of thin, so I ordered some CST Tourance 20" tires from Cambria Bike and couldn't be happier with them. In contrast, my son has the exact same bike (had to get him one for Christmas since I liked mine so much 😁) and has never gotten a flat in about 400 miles, so ymmv. I've never had a problem with my own brakes, but my son's front caliper assembly would no longer hold any tension on his cable, so the lever would bottom out and the cable would slip in the nut/bolt no matter what. We switched it out with a Shimano M375 assembly (like $25) and it works wonderfully now. I do have to change pads more frequently than with a normal bike owing to the bike's weight (as well as my own weight) and stopping or slowing down in hilly SF. The stock pads lasted me about 250 miles in those conditions, and to be fair I was more aggressive with them than I should have been as I was getting used to the bike. I've had better results with the Agptek BBP-01B pads. At 4 pairs for $12 here on Amazon (as of this writing) it's hard to go wrong. Buy them cheap, stack them deep. I recently changed out the front pair after over 500 more miles, and I'm still on the rear pair I switched from the stock pair. Changing the pads is way easy with some needlenose pliers. Lastly, my derailleur needed a lot of adjustment, as it was rattling something fierce between gears and throwing the chain into the space between the gear assembly and the motor when put on 1st. I got all that fixed with a Park Tool video on YouTube though. My son's derailleur was perfect, however. Overall: Probably the most bang-for-my-buck bike I've ever purchased. I figure the bike paid for itself in bridge toll savings, and it's fun as heck to ride around in, perfect for getting around town in short distances. I can get about 20 miles on a full charge using throttle only, but generally I charge after every 15 miles or when the battery indicator has only one LED lit up. Time will tell how long this battery will last, but in just under 900 miles, it's going as strong as it was on mile zero. I can't speak about Amyet's customer service as I've never contacted them, but the bike has been easy enough to work on and adjust with a minimum of tools and some youtube videos. The positives have far outweighed the negatives, and that's why I personally give this product five stars. My son and I love our bikes, and if you decide to purchase, I think you'll love yours too! Edited to Add: OK, so, I did have to consult Amyet's customer service at long last! My son's battery holder fell off. It had some thin tack welds holding on the threaded inserts onto the frame for the battery holder to bolt on to, and I guess they broke loose. Idk, he might or might not have dropped the bike on its side a couple of times with the battery still attached, I'm really just speculating. I checked mine having 1000+ miles on the bike now and they're solid. Anyway in doing so, the heavy battery fell from the bike and yanked the controller wires such that a few of them popped free of the controller board. I snapped a few pics, contacted Amyet through Amazon, gave them my order number and asked for a new controller since I was still in the 1 year warranty period. From initial email to parts at my door: 5 DAYS! I couldn't believe it! I put everything back together and the bike is good as new. So, I'm doubly glad I got this bike! Amyet will honor their warranty and take care of you quick. Buy with confidence! ... show more

  • Great bike! Tons of power and very well constructed! Sweet EBike
Color: 48V20Ah Brown
Bike came very well packed. it arrived about 85% assembled and was actually pretty easy to put together. Took me about 30 minutes to assemble the bike. Battery was indeed a 25ah, which is a plus on the brown model. Gears were shimano. Brakes are cable disc brakes, would have been nice if they were hydraulic, as this is the only weakness on this bike that I found. Bike is very fast and has tons of power. Battery life seems fantastic. Pedal assist is pretty awesome too. The seat is very comfy and the bike overall seems very solidly built, which made me very happy. Time will tell but so far so good. I think this is a steal for the 1000w motor and huge 25ah battery. Shimano gears all around and a nice LED color display. Headlamp is very bright. The bike is heavy, but for a steel frame it's what I expected. I'm 6'0 tall and 300 lbs and it moved amazing and was very easy to ride. Only detriment was braking was not up to par, but it may just need adjustment. Very happy with the bike so far. ... show more

  • Great e-bike!
Color: 48V20Ah Black
We looked at several e-bikes and this is a great e-bike, easy controls, good power, comfortable to ride, great for street ridding and mild off road, and frame is solid and decent price. Although, I would recommend replacing the stock tires and tubes with more durable ones. It’s worth it! And if you like doing more off road you might want to get a hydraulic shock to replace the spring shock. ... show more

  • Love this bike. Highly recommend.
Color: 48V20Ah Black
Quality is surprisingly great for cost. Love this bike. I’m 6’3” 250lbs. This bike hauls A$$. Averaging 28 mph. Only have 11 miles on it. Battery at 25%. Pretty much using top speed the whole time. Only negative so far is the seat is uncomfortable. Bought for my 14 year old. I’ll probably get o w for myself. Almost as fun or more than my Harley. ... show more

  • Happy Motoring!
Color: 48V20Ah Black
This was my first ebike, chosen after comparing specs with big name scramblers (Super 73, Revv 1, Macfox), along with other Chinese manufacturers on Amazon, Ebay, and Aliexpress in the $800-$1500 range. Glad I ordered mine before this production run sold out, the G60 surpassed my expectations. Cons: no damage to the box in shipping, but two issues I didn't catch until problems occurred: steel derailleur guard was bent slightly, interfering with shifting. Bent back into shape easily without breaking the welds, freeing the derailleur. Second issue was rear brake cable was loose at the handle - also easily adjusted once I saw the problem. These problems were not corrected until after the first twenty miles of riding, when the motor started to drop out while using the throttle. Checked the bike over, found and corrected the two mentioned problems, and have had no further performance issues. As brakes are linked to the controller, cable interference may have caused the motor dropout issue which has not recurred. There is a normal decrease in power as the battery depletes, as other reviewers have mentioned. It does take time to reach 28mph top speed with 150lb rider (32mph unloaded). I consider the performance of battery and motor to be in line with the G60 price point. Basic controls with a lack of user tunability is standard for this price range. Pros: Bike arrived in one week, packed very well with all tools included, requiring very little final assembly. Great frame design, quality components, great looks. Strong scrambler bike, assembled well from the factory. Excellent performance out of the box; plenty of torque, good controls. Nice lighting and a comfortable seat. The manual disc brakes are sufficient for the bike's top speed when properly adjusted. Great on the street and paths/horse trails. Does exactly what you'd expect it to, and it looks very good doing it - each trip out gets compliments from strangers. After 60 miles, no disappointments. For product support, David replied with a prompt and friendly email. Stock, it's more fun than it looks, and it looks like a lot of fun. Start pedaling to activate the motor, or just use the throttle. It's definitely more of a throttle bike vs pedal bike due to weight and layout. I've upgraded the tires to E-Huntsman 20x4, added a pair of $20 mirrors, and moved the headlight up to the top of the fork. The platform as a whole is a great design which begs for performance upgrades - tires, suspension, brakes. Knowing how well the G60 rides and handles, I could also see eventually upgrading the battery and motor to put it into the 40mph range, vs replacing the bike with another scrambler. The stock brakes work well with factory top speed of 28 under load, but if it were capable of higher speeds I'd want bigger brakes as the bike is heavy. Same goes for front fork and rear shock. The simplicity of the dash and large LED readout are well designed and great at night, but can be hard to read in direct sunlight. Still early in the recharge cycles, so far it looks like a 30 mile range mostly throttle. Recharge time seems to be around six hours. We'll see how these numbers hold up over time; I'm hoping to see two years of strong, consistent performance - which is in line with the product warranty. I'd recommend the G60 to anyone interested in a Super 73, Revv 1, or Macfox but stalling over those much higher price tags. Based on the build quality and performance, I'd buy another BFI Sport ebike (like the EB26) if I was looking for another bike in the sub $1K range. Electric vehicles are changing transportation worldwide, with ebikes at the front economical transportation. BFI Sport has delivered a great point of entry to the ebike market with the G60. Two month/250 mile update: sold my daily driver and now ride ebikes exclusively. The Amyet remains the favorite grocery getter due to it's speed and easy ride, and is now equipped with Ibera rack and panniers. On long, steep hills it eventually needs pedal assistance (hoping Statorade from Grin Technologies will improve that), but does great everywhere else. In an area where ebikes are just starting to become popular, the G60 still gets compliments and questions from people when I'm running errands. It has proven to be very reliable, practical, and fun. ... show more
