I bought this blanket and a popular heating blanket at the same time. This blanket is far warmer, cozier, and fluffier than the heating blanket, which I set on 16 out of 20. It's also light-weight and beautiful. Wish I could live in it, wear it all day. It's so comfy I don't want to move when I'm curled up in it. No shedding so far (other reviewers commented on that). While I haven't washed it yet, I'll update the review if there's an issue. I can't really wash the heating blanket, anyway, so . . . :) When I'm under this blanket, it really is utopia for me.
