Somehow it keeps you warm, and releases heat, through the waffles, at the same time. Hard to find a good cotton over blanket, this is it! Gorgeous color, makes me smile when I look at it, emerald green! So soft, like a very nice bath towel, but thinner and waffled. The waffling seems to help with heat regulation. Like the well sewn seams which will help it hold its shape. More than I expected.

I used this as a liner blanket for a comforter and it works well. I prefer chunky weave blankets but they tend to unravel and get broken threads. Since this uses a texture instead of holes I think it will last a long time and seems good quality. I wish it was a little more plush but it is very comfortable as is, no scratchy-ness. I do recommend washing before using as it will fluff up the fabric to make it softer and have a better texture after being vacuum packed.

I have been looking for a blanket that meets my needs. I like to have a cover on me evenb on the hottest nights, but most are too warm. This is my 3rd one to try and I finally found the ne that works for most nights. It doesn't look like it would be much, but its light enough to keep me at jusst the right temperature. I have only had to kick it off on super warm nights that the A/C was not on. Fore reference, my preferred night temperature is 62, but with AC, I am fine with 72 as it takes the humidity out of the air. I do keep my windowns open when it gets as low as 50 at night and this blanket is still just the right amount of warmth.

I have a cat. My sister is allergic to cats. My sister is coming to visit. She had to change her visit dates and her hotel fell through. She is staying with me. I am happy she is staying with me AND I have purchased this blanket and all new bedding for one bed in the hopes to help her be more comfortable and keep breathing. Blanket looks great! I have not unwrapped it yet in order to protect it from my kitty.

I have several different sizes and colors of this particular blanket. I have Utopia brand sheets as well. I noticed right away with the first one out of the package that it snags very easily. So if you have pets with sharp nails--beware! On the other hand, they are really soft and lightweight, but are still warm without making you sweat and feel uncomfortable. It washes well. I wash in cold water on delicate cycle and dry on low with no fabric softener. I think they look great on the bed folded as a decorative element. I use it for napping. It's very snuggly. I wasn't happy when I bought the sage green color with the Utopia sage green sheets and they were two completely different colors, so I took off one star. The sheets are a nicer shade of green than the blanket, but I got the blanket first and washed it right away so I'm stuck with it... Otherwise I'm happy with the quality of the blankets, especially for the price.

Got this to update the guest room because texture on a bed is the current designer vibe. After washing, the texture really pops, as you can see in the photo. But I was a bit surprised that when you touch it, it doesn’t feel like we traditionally expect a blanket to feel. It’s not soft or squishy or fluffy, but at least it looks good—-so I thought. I grabbed it off the guest bed one night that was unexpectedly chilly, and it feels so good! Not in a cozy fluffy way, I mean the weight is unbelievably soothing and comforting. A light weight chenille bedspread (green in the photo) and sheets is all that is needed for most of the year here in sub-tropical SW Texas. But when I added this, I could definitely feel the benefit of this type of blanket. It feels so restful, seems to induce good deep sleep. So I guess I need to get another one for the guest room.

This is a very nice light weight blanket. I love that it is 100% cotton, it is very comfortable and actually very comforting as well. I love the feel and look of the texture, much nicer even than the pictures. So glad to have found this I was looking for a 100% cotton blanket for a long time. I washed it immediately and had absolutely no lint or shedding of any type. Very pleased.
