I have seen some reviews that gave poor marks on this cotton thermal blanket. This blanket is perfect! The weight is neither too heavy nor too light, the color is exactly what I was looking for, and it washes up beautifully. The color stated is plum, which is a good descriptor for this purple blanket. I washed the blanket in cold water, using the gentle cycle, before putting it on the bed. Additionally, I used a gentle laundry soap instead of detergent. I dried on medium. The blanket came out softer and just as bright. I would definitely recommend the product and will buying more in other colors.

Needed to replace a cotton blanket I'd gotten from a hospital stay almost 30 years ago to put on top of my comforter during Colorado winter & I couldn't be more pleased with this Utopia Bedding Queen blanket in dark gray. Ironically the weave pattern is identical to the blanket it's replacing, wanted something a bit more durable than waffle weave with my fur baby & this is perfect. It's a perfect weight not too light & not too heavy, most impressed with the queen size on my 16½ inch pillow top mattress as it hangs down on both sides completely covering the mattress. It's almost as long on the sides as the king size duvet cover it's on top of & the picture was taken after 2 washings. Washed in cold water with low dryer heat & the blanket did wonderfully with zero shrinking & no issues at all with color changing in any areas. I know from experience the blanket will continue to soften over time with each wash. I expect this blanket will last every bit as long as my previous one or longer. The pricing on the Utopia Bedding blankets is outstanding for the quality. The only small thing I noticed is 2 loose threads & a small imperfection on the edge, nothing that concerns me or reduces quality in my opinion. Highly recommend this blanket to all looking for a quality 100% cotton blanket!

This cotton throw is very professional looking and has just the right amount of stiffness. I love the non-fluffy feel of cotton and the pattern is not rough or scratchy. The throw is weighted well, not wafer thin nor iron heavy. It is simple to wash with not too much fiber loss and the grey color is exactly what I expected. It did not cover what I had measured it for, after washing it may have shrunk so I won't remove a star, but it cannot be used for what I intended. Overall, this throw is very nice looking, feels just right and seems durable. I would recommend this product.

I love this blanket for its weave. It tightly woven and doesn’t snag like those silly waffle-weave blankets out there. It is durable and washes well. I wash it on cold and dry on low. It hasn’t changed shape, size, or colour at all. I have had it for 7 months now and it looks and feels as good as the first day. I bought the king size and fold it into half to use as a twin blanket because as they say: two think blankets are better than one thick blanket. It keeps me fairly warm in winters and cool in summers. Some may not like the coarse texture of slub like cotton threads, but i find it rather soothing. It’s heavy, so it almost feels like a weighted blanket and stays in place. Anyone looking for those old-school solapur blankets from India, go for this one.

This blanket is exactly what I was looking for and I think if you really understand what a pure cotton blanket is before purchasing, you will have no issue. With respect to some of the negative reviews, I agree the description is misleading when it describes the blanket as "soft." A pure cotton blanket is not going to be soft - at least not in the traditional sense. The blanket has some stiffness to it, and it has some weight to it though I would not say it is heavy by any means. It is thin, as I'd expect it to be - and in combination with the weight, this provides warmth in cooler months and stays breathable in warmer months (this is why I like, and the reason I buy, cotton blankets). In response to reviews that said the blanket is more like a tablecloth... it is not that thin, truly - but don't expect to receive a soft, fluffy blanket because that is not what this is. It is, as some reviewers have stated, very much like a hospital blanket. Details and Measurements, for reference: I ordered the blanket in white and it is pure white. I make this point because another reviewer ordered white and described what was received as ecru. I assume that must have been a mix up with the shipment because what I received is definitely a true white. The blanket did not pill after washing, and I did not find significant lint in the dryer lint trap. I'm using this blanket in a guest room and if the description is correct and the blanket is supposed to measure 90X90, it's either off, or it shrunk when I washed it. Note - I did NOT follow the instructions (must be washed in cold water, gentle cycle, as much water as possible). The blanket, after washing in warm water with other items and tumble drying low, measures about 92X82. The queen size mattress I'm using it on is about 10" high and the blanket falls about 12" from the top of the mattress on either side. It falls about 16" from the top of the mattress at the foot of the bed, enough for me to tuck in securely. So I think it works fine and I'm happy with it. That said, I purchased the same blanket in gray for another guest room with a queen bed, so I will measure the blanket before and after I wash it, and this time I will follow the instructions to see if it makes any difference and update this review accordingly. One comment about Utopia - I received an email thanking me for my purchase, offering tracking information for the item, and requesting that if there was any reason I would not rate the item as 5 stars, to please let them know and they would try to make it right. Now, I am rating the item 5 stars so I can't say how responsive they might have been if I were to have a problem, but I thought it was very proactive and customer friendly to reach out in this manner so I thought I'd mention it.

I purchased the Queen Size White Blanket and it is exactly what I wanted. I washed it before putting it on my Queen Size bed and it laundered well. It is thick enough for winter, but not too thick for summer. Would make a great gift. Looks expensive. Appears stable, durable, and comfortable. The blanket wasn’t long enough to tuck in at the bottom of the bed, but it did hang off about one inch. The sides of the blanket were a little long, but not a problem for me. Love my new blanket.
