I got 2 of these to connect 3 External HDDs to my 2020 Mac Mini’s ports, and have 1 USB input as a spare. The Mac Mini only has 2 USBs, and they are permanently occupied with other peripheral components. I was disappointed to find my Mini is unable to discover the multiple drives consistently, although it does occasionally see two of the three, and it’s not always the same ones. One drive is for my Time Machine, a second is for work, and the third drive has (what all men tell their girlfriends they don’t have). Yeah. It’s a 1TB. Shut up, I know I have a problem. So what was I saying. . . ? Oh, right. I knew read/discover errors would be a possibility when I bought it, and shouldn’t necessarily reflect on the product, but seriously- isn’t this the reason most people would get a product like this ? Works just as needed with iMac 24 thunderbolt ports. No problems connecting to my old usb flash drives, Lexar and newer Sandisk. The cords are long enough so that flash drives are easy to reach, connect and disconnect. Also, cords look solid and product appears to be of good quality.

I threw away the delivery bag, so I may not be able to return or exchange this, but I hope to. Why: My laptop makes a little alert noise every time a peripheral is attached or removed. When this adapter is attached (to connect a mouse that has a USB cord), the noise repeats again and again and again until I remove it. The mouse operation is also somewhat glitchy when I connect the mouse through this adapter. I have used the mouse with another adapter with no problem, so I feel certain the mouse is not the issue. ... show more

I've had this adapter for a week and it's doing exactly what it promised to do. I have used it to attach a wireless keyboard dongle and a wired mouse, both of which had regular USB connectors that would not fit into my newer "USB-C only" laptop. If it stops working within six months, I'll come back and update this review. Just can't trust cables lately, amirite? ... show more

wanted to split a single USB-C port to power two bluetooth speakers & it works great. I don't know if you could charge two phones or tablets at the same time, but that'd probably be dependent on the output power of the charger you plugged it into
