It's not hard to stick the double-sided tape to the window frame. Make sure the surface is a smooth continuous surface and is very clean and dry. The plastic is harder to do, it likes to develop static and sticks tightly to itself. If the plastic tears it's all over. My hubby punctured it - a tiny pinhole and it ripped all the way from pinhole to top and pinhole to bottom in under 1 second. It's not really reparable, so I put double sided tape down the middle and cut it to match the center frame (of a double window). You cannot see the seam from the outside & we have indoor shutters. Then, I used another sheet, attaching it to the ds tape and the other 3 sides. Did the hairdryer routine again. Wha la! Wow! That was exhausting! I have several more windows. But once done, it seals nicely and you will no longer feel the cold when you stand next to the window. We have yet to put it to the heat (summer) test. Soon. ... show more

I live in the south and used these to cut air conditioning costs. I did feel and see a difference. Was very easy to used and adhered to the window frame really well. Hair dryer on low heat tightened the plastic and removed any wrinkles. I'll purchase again.

I’ve always just like the idea of putting plastic over my windows. I downsized right as the weather was getting really cold here in the north east. One of the windows in the bedroom was defective, causing the room to be very cold and drafty. I couldn’t install new windows in the winter so I ordered these. They were easy and you can’t even see them once they’re tight. you can’t see him from outside and even with the blinds open you can’t see them inside. I was surprised. They did what they were supposed to do. They blocked the draft in the room became much warmer. Yes, I now recommend plastic on your windows if needed. This is the one you want. ... show more

Putting the tape up was the easy part, but trying to put the plastic up with one person was the difficult part. Trying to get the plastic to hang even and then making it tight enough, well all I can say is if you are attempting this project get another person to help. Once up it seems to keep the cold out, I was also thinking of leaving it up for the summer to keep the hot air out! ... show more

I keep buying these but I haven't quite figured out how to keep the corners from popping off after a couple of weeks. I don't think I am making it too tight witht he hair dryer but almost all of my cornes pop off (tape stays on the plastic but tape comes off of the window frame).
