    • Will not work with a device that has a protective case on it.
The adapter works great and seems solid. However if you have a protective case on your phone or tablet, this will not work as the male end is to short to plug into the device's usb port.

My laptop is on the left side of my desk, and the Thunderbolt port is on the left side of the laptop. The docking station is at the rear of my desk, in the center. The cord is just a bit too short for this to work. This adapter makes it fit a lot better. No problems with the dual monitors or gig-E through this device.
