About: This riser is a common board you will find with many other brands. It has 4 Capacitors a locking x16 PCI-E slot and high-quality power connections and 2 LEDs for power indication. The included SATA power adapter is nice so that the card can be powered with safety if no available PCI-e 6 pin or Molex 4 pin power is available. It uses a newer standard for PCI-E-x1 board that is identical to GPURisers.com version 09. It has high-quality USB 3 orifices that are solid and hold the USB chord nicely. This is basically industry standard. It has a wide foot which is great for card stability and less pressure on your mining rig stand with plenty of padding to protect the soldered connections. Customer Service I had 1 riser that was soldered at a slight 20-degree angle and was not making any connection and causing errors on my rig. 1 out of 6 was bad, which is pretty common for GPU Risers, but I was surprised because these are very high quality, this 1 riser was missed in Quality Control, and understanding FBA I know the seller was not to blame for this issue. I asked the seller to please send a replacement riser for the bad one. Without hesitation and with haste they sent me 6 new risers. I was not asking for 6 but am grateful and will purchase again from this listing because I know that they will stand behind their product and make it right if there is an issue. On a side note as I was taking pictures for this review I noticed some inconsistencies and would like you to be aware of these. 1 of the 6 risers I received as a replacement was soldered at an angle and will probably work, but I will not be surprised if it does not work. because the pins on the board are smooth and not sticking through the PCB and you would want them all to stick out just a little to ensure proper connections. It also makes your GPU sit a little at an angle. The USB 3.0 Cables are all different brands and one of these brands has hard corners and cheaper plastic. Like dollar tree quality. So be aware that while they may work these USB Chords I question. Out of the replacements I got 5 of the terrible USB 3.0 chords they just feel cheap and stiff while the higher quality ones feel malleable and flexible. ... show more

Some work, some don't. The ones that don't work look just like the ones that do work. Endless swapping of cables, adapters and riser boards. No way to tell which parts are good, if any. Multiple combinations that cause immediate crashes. And then one package that seems to work just fine. Until it doesn't - in at least in one case simply moving the cable caused the rig to crash. It is as if they are right on the edge of not working, so any little disturbance causes failure. In one case, moving a rig that was somehow working with these risers an inch closer to a PDU caused the rig to crash every few minutes. It was very hard to believe that moving the rig a few inches could make that much difference. Perhaps the shielding is poor. There may be a clue may in the lack of any logos on the connectors, but it also appears that there might be something unique about the included cables, because swapping to a known good cable that came with a different brand of riser does not work. When I test the cables with a Trendnet cable USB tester, the quick test sometimes shows good, but then switching to a different brand of cable shows bad, which suggests that while they pass the quick test, they are wired differently than other brands. Some components on the board are not even soldered down. The leads are not trimmed which causes the rubber pads to fall off. The socket locks are unhandy. But all of that is trivial compared to the maddening inconsistency and never-ending random failures. More trouble from this batch of risers that from all of others combined. One can almost accept the occasional bad riser board or cable, but to swap it out for another one and then find that one to be bad too? And then a second and a third? It's just unacceptable. I've been chasing these never-ending issues for weeks - to the point that they are no longer eligible for return, so not only have they cost me an untold amount of time and frustration, but now I'm stuck with them. I think I have to throw them away in hopes of salvaging my sanity. ... show more

I bought these risers specifically because I didn't want to use adapters or splitters to power the cards and these were the most reasonably priced for the quantity I needed (plus a couple backups in case of failure.) First of all, I am impressed that none of them were DOA; the first four I opened worked right out of the package. The added Molex connector was perfect for my build, and I was able to power everything from the two supplies I had instead of having to turn to a 220-watt server PSU or upgrade to a more expansive (and expensive) modular supply. The only thing I don't like is the power indicators. I am not a fan of LED lights on my equipment, let alone ones that are on all the time. They'll probably help with diagnostics in the event of a failure, but they are absurdly bright. ... show more

I got one riser with a capacitor falling off so I didn’t bother using it and another was all bent up but it still works fine. The other 4 were good all around. Maybe I’d buy again?? Not sure

The media could not be loaded. Update after more then one moth of using it: These VER009S PCIE Risers are still doing fine and running stable. Never had problems with overheating or stopping or breaking. They seem to be really solid and reliable. ============================================ I was not sure if this would work with my existing system, but there was no problem and all of them worked right away - seems to be good quality with good performance ... show more

The 4-pin molex did very tight and feels awkward to unplug with a somewhat flimsy board. Power delivery and connectivity is stable and reliable. Have had them connected for months. Ultimately im not thrilled by the riser options out there, but I’ll throw this one 5 stars since it seems better than the alternatives ... show more
