Let’s talk about why I like it. 1) 8 in 1 for real—very functional and really this is all I need to connect with almost everything 2) Light and Small-it is so tiny and very light weight, I can easily throw it in my smallest purse or even a pouch. 3) All the docks work perfectly—easy to connect with all my gadgets and works well. Now, what I wish it could have been better: 1) May not work with protective case—like I showed in my pictures, when protective case is added, it cannot be connect to my MacBook Air there’s a gap between my MacBook and the connector 2) May not charge at the same time—once the hub is connected, there’s no space to connect the charger, so I have to make sure my MacBook is fully charged whenever I plan to use the hub. The dock easily attaches to my MacBook Air, occupying both USB-C ports. One of the dock's USB-C ports is a Thunderbolt 3 port and supports power (charging) and I could charge the MacBook Air at 37 Watts, which is the same as it charged from the native port. It has two USB-A ports with 5 Gbps speed and one with 480 Mbps. I tested all and they indicated the speeds advertised. The two USB-C ports also showed 5 Gbps speeds. The HDMI port worked to connect the laptop to a TV and a 4k external monitor. The monitor was fully supported (2160 resolution). The Thunderbolt 3 port also supported the external monitor fully. Finally, I connected a Thunderbolt 3 drive to the top Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port, and it indicated that it was connected at a 40 Gbps speed. The dock has a SD and MicroSD card slot. I tested both, and they worked as they should. They mounted SD cards at USB 3 speeds (5 Gbps) Overall, a very useful and versatile dock! ... show more

Aside from the fact the name came from a cat walking across a keyboard (can you pronounce it?), this is a great little hub. It connected perfectly to my 2018 Macbook Pro. It even comes in space gray, so it matches! Fits snugly with no wobble or flex. It allows you to plug and remove cables without coming away from the ports. I haven't tried all the connections yet, but it is designed well and provides all the port types that I need. I especially like the placement of the ports, so that wires that are more permanent, like HDMI, plug into the top and don't need to curve around. It even has a forward facing low power USB A port for wireless peripherals. Another nice touch is the rubberized feed underneath so it rests on the desktop and doesn't stress the USB C connections. ... show more

Easy to use, plug and play. I needed a hub with some USB ports and to be able to extend my MacBook Air’s screen. This worked just fine. Second monitor connects right away. You can extend or mirror and both work well. Powered by the computer so no extra wires. Very portable and budget friendly.

Got this HODO USB C Hub for my MacBook, and it's been pretty good so far. Love how it turns one port into six – the HDMI and extra USB ports are super useful for my setup. Streaming in 4K to my TV was a breeze, and transferring files from SD cards is fast. However, the build quality doesn't feel top-notch. It's a bit on the lighter, cheaper side, so I'm a bit careful not to knock it around too much. Overall, it does the job well for the price, just wish it felt a bit more solid. ... show more
