To ensure that your blinds fit in your windows, the width of your opening must be 1/2 inch larger than the blind size. The minimum depth required to mount blind is 1 1/2 inch. The minimum depth required for flush-mounting is 3 inch. Our blinds are crafted with high quality components including high profile steel head rail, quality PVC foam slats, and solid trapezoid bottom rail. Our blinds resist heat and humidity, and are great for all areas including the kitchen, laundry, and bathroom. Mounting hardware and a standard inside-mount decorative valance also included. Valance returns or ending corner valances are not included. Mounting screws provided are best for drywall or sheetrock only. For the money its hard to find something that looks this good, that being said the blind wand broke in less then a year, that's the second one to break too from the multiple I ordered. Hopefully rest of blinds will hold up.

I bought these blinds to replace old blinds in my east facing bedroom windows. My handyman said the measurements were perfect (followed exactly based on company instructions) but the screws were subpar. I don’t know what made them subpar but he had his own tools and installed them safely. My biggest flag on these is that they do not in any way help with thermal regulation — they actually make a room hotter. I have a living room sharing that east facing wall which still has the ugly but functional metal blinds, and these are in my bedroom. When the sun is hitting both sets of windows at the same degree at the same time, it is easily 15 degrees cooler in the living room than the bedroom. I’ve had these a while so I even experimented with opening the bedroom blinds, and the room is cooler with no blinds at all, than with these blinds down and fully shut. I guess it’s the material but if you are in need of blinds that will help keep your home cooler on sunny days, I don’t recommend these. ... show more

So, I bought these blinds and I bought similar ones through Amazon a couple of weeks ago. Now, don’t get me wrong, I like these and for the price, you can’t go wrong but since I bought two different types, I thought I’d share what I find as the differences. The photos show this blind on the left and the other ones on the right. 1. These are completely white and smooth with no texture. If you prefer them to be sleek and neat without the “faux wood” look, then this is for you. See how in the picture, this one is smooth and flat while the other brand has some texture that looks like wood a little. 2. The brackets make it harder for you to make a mistake. You have to measure these brackets to a tee! (If that’s how you spell it) anyway, the other brand had brackets to be installed at the top (rather than the edges) and you can snap the blinds on. This is better because no matter what, the blinds will fit. However, with these, if there is too much space on each side, then the blinds will not fit snug in the brackets. I hope this review helps.
