We use this set with the Les Mills body pump program at home. + quality of the plates and bar is good. Plates slide onto the bar easily. I like that the bar is soft with a good grip and doesn’t leave my hands smelling like metal. + appearance is fine; color is good. + we did NOT like the clamps that hold the plates on the ends. We purchased different ones (the red ones in the video) that are much easier to use. + be aware that the actual bar is 2 pieces that screw together. You occasionally have to tighten it and make sure that it’s not coming unscrewed in the middle. + be aware that the bar will not hold any additional weights (aside from what comes with this kit). We tried adding on some additional weights and the bar couldn’t hold the extra weight….so if you’re looking to add weights to THiS set, the bar won’t hold more. If you want to lift weights at home, get fit, and increase muscle mass, this is a good starter set. It’s easy to use and you can easily change the weights during a workout. Overall, the set is perfect for us because we don’t need to lift more than the included weights. Replacing the clamps that hold the weights on was an easy fix.

I was looking for a reasonably priced weight set to do Les Mills body pump workouts in my garage. This fit the bill price-wise, and after using this many times, I can say the set is great. I have used the Les Mills weights at the gym and they are superior in that they’re way easier to change the weight plates. I find these a little hard to change because it sometimes hurts my hand to squeeze the little spring, but other than that it’s perfect for what I need.

It's easy to put together. Easy to change the weight to what you're needing. The clips hold the weights securely. Once put together it doesn't come loose and stays together. Fits easily under the bed. Compact and easy to use right out the box. For the price highly recommend! Great for beginners and just to add to your every day weight lifting.

I give the weights themselves a 5 and the bar a 4 (the padding had a gap in it when I put the bar together). However, the clips/clamps are awful and get a 2. Way too tight. I could barely squeeze them enough to get the weights on and off and so, I kept one set of weights on for the entire workout. I wasn't able to to make a quick switch to heavier or lighter while working out. It was...too much work. I actually considered keeping the product--if I could find clamps to fit--but it appears that the bar's diameter is 1.25", which is irregular. It's easy to buy 1" and 2" clamps, but not 1.25 (though there might be something adjustable out there). Anyway, this was a disappointment because the weights are actually pretty good. I decided to return these and look for something that will work better for me. What a shame.
