  • Small Japanese pull saw that is a pleasure to use.
Very handy saw for both fine and rough cuts. Being a pull saw, it is very easy to start a curf and obtain straight and accurate cuts. Highly recommend for making quick work of smaller cuts.

  • Nearly worthless
For the price I wasn't expecting much. What I received was far worse. The rivets holding the blade in the handle are loose and there is no way to compress them further, so the blade moves around inside the handle. But more importantly, the teeth aren't much sharper than the serrations on some butter knives. Other than the size (which is why I bought this), this is worthless. ... show more

  • It's OK
This saw looks similar to other Japanese pull saws I've owned, but it isn't quite as good. This one is made in China of "Japanese steel". Its teeth are pretty coarse and not as sharp but it cuts - and of course, sometimes you need coarse teeth not fine teeth on a saw. It all depends on what you're doing. The handle I like, it's beech and has a very smooth finish. At a price point this low, a wood handle isn't often the case, and if it is on a tool, is usually cheap wood and/or not finished well. But what I don't like is the handle very slightly wiggles. It wasn't noticeable at first when I picked it up, but when examining it, I thought to hold the blade and wiggle the handle, and it does. It isn't enough to affect its functionality, because you could hear a little clicking sound, but the saw still works. The blade has a nice hook for hanging which was a good idea, because these are tricky to store with teeth on both sides of the saw that need protection. The blade flexes, not as much as some others, but I don't mind that and can see that being useful. Sometimes I need a saw with less flex but that's more sturdy, other times the reverse. Overall, it's not a bad saw, just not as good as the original IMHO. ... show more

  • Very useful
This is a well-designed and durable tool. I have used it on literally every woodworking project I have tackled since buying it

  • Very light, falling apart
It looks like an approximation of a light hand saw. Unfortunately the handle is very loose - and it is very very light at 66 grams. I don't think this could stand up to much sawing, even if it was properly assembled.

  • It's a joy to use.
I highly recommend this saw for crafting newbies like me, amateur artists or just responsible people who've never owned a saw before. I've never needed a saw before but after viewing one too many DIY videos about making cardboard furniture, I suddenly needed a saw to help reinforce my project with wood and or particle board. So far I've cut up a canvas frame made out of wood ( I think) and it was effortless? If I can finish this project in a timely manner maybe I'll post a photo of my attempt. ... show more
