I've gotten pretty into essential oils and fragrance oils the past few years, and I love trying new oils, but I didn't have any vanilla oils, so I was eager to try this one. On first sniff, I could tell it was high quality! It had a wonderful, creamy scent. It brought back memories of my mother baking, or of drinking a very well made cream soda. I put a few drops on my wrists and felt happy all day just sniffing it. I did find in the diffuser, the scent didn't come through as much as some. I started with a little, and then added more, then more---it took quite a few drops until I could get a real vanilla scent in my fairly small room. This might be because this is natural oil and not enhanced with other chemicals, but it was a little disappointing. I know there are many uses for oils besides diffusers, and this is certainly good oil! ... show more

This creamy vanilla essential oil smells wonderful, but it is not a strong scent. I have to use 2-3 droppers full in my oil diffuser to get the scent to be the strength I like. It is overall a nice mellow vanilla oil and it mixes well with other scented oils.
