I have an old farmhouse and the basement is kind of cold so I decided to wrap the heating duct work with this insulation. It comes in a 4 foot roll and is foam core and easy to cut with a utility knife. I wrapped it around the square duct and used metal tape to hold together. I'm currently adding heat and air to my garage and building all the necessary fittings in my home tin shop. I have plenty of fiberglass duct wrap left over from previous jobs, but wanted to try something different and a little more healthy. I'd heard good stuff about bubble type insulation from coworkers but never tried it myself. I purchased this brand based on Amazon reviews and I'm glad I did. I can now insulate everything before install and not have to worry about all that nasty, itchy fiberglass floating around my home. I laid out my sheet metal patterns and simply traced them over this bubble foam insulation before I formed them up. A regular pair of scissors cuts this product easily. I used spray adhesive on both parts and carefully wrapped the insulation around the fittings and it holds great. No need for stick pin fasteners and staples like you'd need on a fiberglass duct wrap. Just some foil backed tape at the seams. I still question whether this has a true R8 rating, but my garage will be insulated and this should be more than enough to prevent the ducts from sweating. I will update later after a cooling season should I encounter any sweating issues. But, I'm thinking this stuff will do it's job. ... show more

It is easy to cut, and install which is good when in crawl spaces. I could not believe the heat loss that was in there. I think it is a great product , and shipping was fast.

Good quality better than the supply house used 181 tape domestic, the seams and the tape afterwards. Use the red devil. Mastic was really happy with the coverage and performance. Installation seem better quality cuts easily.
