They did little to reduce glare from oncoming headlights. I don't know why they include the "test kit" which actually proves these are NOT polarized. I tested sunglasses that I know are polarized and the test kit affirms that they are, but the night vision glasses test negative. I don't know why they would include a test kit that proves the description is wrong. But more importantly... When worn over prescription glasses (as they are intended to do) it causes weird reflections. As I passed under street lights (fortunately my wife was driving), the reflection of the lights appeared in two different spots and since we were moving, the reflected images traveled across the lens. When this first happened, it startled me because I initially thought it was another vehicle crossing from my left. I know that sounds strange but it was very disconcerting. If I had been driving, I might have hit the brake or swerved. I tried removing my prescription glasses (just wearing the NV glasses) and the odd reflection did not occur, so it only happens when worn over prescription glasses. The day the glasses arrived, I had to drive around town on a rainy-foggy night. I can't say that I saw much improvement in either the ability to see faded lane markers nor taming oncoming headlights. I have a big astigmatism so night time driving is stressful. These night driving lenses cut the starburst look of oncoming headlights in half. That makes it much easier to see where I am in my lane and lets me recover night vision quickly after a car passes me.
