The outdoor unit is pre-charged with R32 environmentally friendly Freon at the factory; it is a sealed system, so under normal use, no Freon is consumed and no top-ups are required. How does the no-vacuum design work and what should I keep in mind? The unit is factory high-precision evacuated and sealed with valves. Simply align and tighten quick-connect fittings for a seal, no air entry. Caution: Don't open valve before tightening fitting. What tools are needed for installation? No vacuum pump, gauge or flaring tool needed.
